All meals and beverages should be Champagne and Sacher cake only for the Devs today...

Well done, you´ve done more than just earned it... you did go for the extra mile... (You´ll deserve plenty of whipped cream to that cake too)

Default ATTENTION! Reasurround corrupted.

It became corrupted, when Reasurround 2 has started to develope.
And it's still such.

Input and output channels number couldn't be less then track channels number.
And what if I have mono source? There are extra pucks in field.

Excuse me to spoil the glee here.
RE is really cool stuff!

What about adding a simple theme-integrated comment text field for TCP and MCP for each track.

Razor edit undo bug:

- select item
- create razor edit (item gets unselected)
- move razor edit
- undo

BUG: after undo, media item gets selected back again

EXPECTED: the first undo just moves the razor edit to the original position, the second undo selects media item

What about adding an option to always snap razor edits to the edges of items, regardless of the snap on/off settings. (And when the "no snap" modifier is pressed, the snap would be disabled)

This actually works currently similarly with edit cursor snapping. If you click on the item edge, the cursor is snapped to that position.

Is there a thread to explain what exactly the "asynchronous unbuffered disk write mode" is for and in what situations you'd want to use it?

I assume it's to do with spinning rust being replaced with SSD's and NVME-drives that have way larger IOPs and that you want to hit with as much parallel operations and long queues as possible... but I'm not sure. :/

BUG - "Snap razor edits to ..." in Snap/grid settings is not remembered after Reaper restarts.

Btw, this window would use a clean up. There are 5 similar lines at 3 different places (snap what to what) and 2 related options at 2 different places (snap distance).
There is this old mockup for a start, it would need some more optimisation.

Those are project settings, so they should be stored with the project.

There's still elements of RE that could use some improvement/implementation:

ie, "Drawing RE over Time Ruler creates RE over all tracks in project".

Like Regions, but can add/remove to the selection.

Is the Pre forum no longer the place for these types of suggestions now that it's out? Would hate to see this stuff now get lopped in with other FRs, given that it's still fresh.

I think you could post the feature refinement in the Area Selection thread and it would get where it needs to. Your point about it not being left to the wayside is a good one. It may not get immediate attention but once something is in the program it rarely gets abandoned from what I've seen.

Those are the next logical additions to Razor Edits. They don't currently exist natively.

Those gifs are Juliansader's indispensable "Multitool", available in the ReaPack package manager : https://reapack.com/

Default Let me get this straight...

...I still can't embed VST UI's into the TCP? Despite there being "Support for third-party embeddable UI's" via the "IReaperEmbedUIInterface" whatever the hell that is?

Not understanding here....

Support means Reaper support it, but plugins also should support it. Do you get it now? Initially Voxengo developer asked about it and the devs implemented it. Here is the thread: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=249521

Something has changed with Alt+Right-drag.

Previously, Alt+Right-drag selected the item and made a time selection. And Shift+Alt+Right-drag did the same, ignoring snap. Now, something very different happens...

Is this razor edit stealing one of my most used editing moves? How can I get the old behavior of Alt+Right-drag and Shift+Alt+Right-drag back?

EDIT: OK so it is the razor edit that wreaks havoc on my work flow...

Code:
6.24
Mouse: Arrange view right drag
Default action	Marquee select items
Shift	Marquee add to item selection
Ctrl	Select time
Alt	Create razor edit area
Shift+Alt	Add to razor edit area
Ctrl+Alt	Marquee zoom
Shift+Ctrl+Alt	Hand scroll
Alt+Win	Marquee zoom

6.23
Mouse: Arrange view right drag
Default action	Marquee select items
Shift	Marquee add to item selection
Ctrl	Select time
Alt	Marquee select items and time
Shift+Alt	Marquee select items and time ignoring snap
Ctrl+Alt	Marquee zoom
Shift+Ctrl+Alt	Hand scroll
Does anyone know how I get the old behavior back?

EDIT: Yes, people knew (see below)
Thanks.

I was about to say "you might find Razor Edits will now easily become your most useful move", but given that there's still a wealth of stuff RE can't do yet that is still relegated to old-fashioned Time Selection (Envelope compression/expansion/skew), this might not be the case.

Preferences / Mouse Modifiers lets you remap everything.

Yes, the default behavior of alt+right-drag and alt+shift+right-drag changed.

You can restore the previous behavior by opening Options > Preferences > Editing behavior > Mouse modifiers, selecting the arrange view right drag context, and setting Alt to Marquee select items > Set time selection, and setting Shift+Alt to Marquee select items > Set time selection+ignoring snap.
