Issue with audio fade

So whenever I start playback or at start of rendering there is a tiny volume fade that kills all attack to any sound. I am aware of the setting under the audio tab which is tiny fade in on playback start and I have it disabled but there is still an audio fade any way. If anyone could help out that would be greatly appreciated as it is giving me a headache trying to fix.

As always with Reaper, it's just a case of knowing the correct "technical" term!
