Default Connecting Korg Monologue to Reaper

I would like to have Reaper not only control the tempo of my Korg Monologue (either through the USB or Midi cord) but also start the sequencer on the Monologue when I hit play on Reaper.

This seems possible, but I am having a hard time finding this solution in the threads. Apologies in advance if I missed something . Thanks.

Are you saying you have got it syncing tempo but not starting with the transport?

As far as I'm aware just setting the Korg as clock slave should take care of both those things.

I am actually unclear on accomplishing both. I went into the program settings of the Korg for it to accept the Midi in, and I adjusted my interface (Tascam 1800) pushing the Midi out to enable clock. What am I missing here?

I apologize for the ignorance; I am new to MIDI.

Page 53 of the korg manual tells you how to set clock sync option to external.

Don't know what you mean by you adjusted your interface...there are no midi settings for clock on this interface. You would have to clarify what exactly you pushed!

Thanks. I had tried to follow those instructions by rightclicking the Tascam 1800 on the midi settings in Reaper to send send ("push") clock information. I am using the Midi out on the 1800 to go into the Midi in of the Korg. Maybe I will try the same thing with the USB and cut the 1800 out of the equation.
