Loop Record Problem on Mac

I've recently switched from PC to Mac. Everything seems to be pretty good in Reaper on the Mac version except the loop record or cycle record function. Unfortunately this is a key piece of my workflow. While in loop record, every time it starts the beginning of a loop, the timing is slightly off and sometimes the audio cuts out or gets distorted. One thing that I noticed is that whenever I used loop record on PC, it would just make on continuous file, on Mac however, it creates a new wave file for each loop. If I can't find a solution, this might actually be a deal breaker and I would no longer be able to use Reaper. Loop record seems to work fine in Logic and Cubase on Mac but I haven't tried Pro Tools. If someone has a solution for this I'd much appreciate it. Oh, and it's the same on Reaper 4 or 5, and Yosemite or El Capitan.

Hi,

Must be something in your preferences, because both on PC or Mac my experience
with recording, loop and take recording is identical from one to the other.

Have a look at the screen in attachment and check that "Create new files on loop" is unticked
