Default Re-Amping workflow, gear, hints

Hi All.

I would like to start recording my guitars for Re-Amping.
Can you please give me a hint of how you do it?
Like what interface / (active and reversed passive) do you use?
How do you adjust the levels when recording and when Re-Amping?

Anybody able to help?

Thank you in advance,
RGDS,
Holger

It sounds like you are new to all this, so pardon me if my advice is too basic.

any 2 input usb interface will do. Scarlett 2i2 for instance.

You need a DAW. Amplitude is free and will allow you to record and re amp your guitar.

You adjust input gain on the USB interface and within Amplitude

first you record your guitar by plugging straight into the interface, or via a DI first.

Then, within Amplitude you add a vst plugin amp simulator to suit.

hope this is what you wanted to know
