Is Anyone using Reaper unprofessionally?
I recorded myself making fart noises using the hand under the armpit technique. I put the .wav file into my co-worker's windows media file and set it to her email notification sound. Is it possible to do some sort of round robin?

My preference is Behringer ECM8000 due to it's small diameter.

hmm... If you want to take your unprofessionalism up a notch, the best mic for "butt stuff" has to be the CAD 22a. It sounds like crap, and also looks like probably smells like crap too.

Perhaps a shotgun in this case. It'll sound like you're 'right there', butt (pi) won't smell like it.

Why do your recordings smell like a$$?
Really any mic will work, placement is the key.

If it's my butt, I'd like to request a small diaphram, please.

Weird, I own one of the originals from the '90s and it is without question one of the best mic's I've ever owned and I have lots of mics. If you used one of the originals I wonder if the two 9V batteries inside have been dead for 20 years now? Or it's broken, or you are thinking of the new ones which I'd agree with.

Could be logistical reasons, reminds me of a story I heard about old Gerry [pron. " Jerry"] - a local character from my hometown district.
Gerry: "I can fart whenever I want to"
Tom: "Well, go on, then"
Gerry: "But I don't want to"

I don't know whether she managed round robin but:
"There once was a lady named Cager,
Who as the result of a wager,
Consented to fart
The entire oboe part
Of Mozart's quartet in F-major."

Some of the house mics in places seem to have already been used for that which is why I always bring my own...
P.S. I find a room mic is really important in fart recording - you can really hear the room emptying from just before the attack of the fart til its decay fades away

Unprofessional noodling. That's all I do.
Ohh and yes, recording farts and play them in ReaSamplomatic5K with a nice Cathedral reverb.
It's like the real thing without the smell and uncomfortable stares from strangers in prayer.

It's a bit like recording an acoustic aim the mic about 6" from the sound hole or it'll sound boomy.

Keep it in axis for the optimal brown note capture.

I have done various voice over projects in Reaper including radio and television commercials, radio imaging, music on hold, voice mail, narration and conducted interviews that were mixed in Reaper. I'm retired now so these days I just record my own music.

Old farts have that something special - more warmth, better saturation, just an overall richness and presence.

If it’s too boomy, just compress it a little.

Yeah, E-200. I've always been pretty impressed FWTW. Just last year mine got to sounding pretty rough, real loud with the weirdest distortion then suddenly quiet. Turned out one of the batteries actually leaked & crudded up the battery clip. Contacted CAD and they replied there were no parts for those old things anymore so good luck. Anyway I cleaned it up with a baking soda & water paste, back to it's old self.

I routinely make recordings for myself without the assistance of a click track.
Sometimes, I also use strings that are more than a week old. I routinely will not check my input level gain on my interface as well.

Theres always the new Earthworks BP1 (Buttplug1)...very useful for flatulant sessions. As you see...48v phantom power to really give you that little bit extra. Comes with a bottle of lube with it, for not just her pleasure.

You might be able to create a kind of round robin by scripting a file rename on a time schedule. Great idea, BTW. I did something like that using some of the lines from an interview I had with some elderly friends of ours. "Oh, my goodness" became the default audio for a Windows error, "We'll see each other again" was the sign-off.
