Default ReaMix book - appropriate for beginners with no knowledge of mixing?

Hi, I recently bought REAPER after evaluating for about 6 months and that's my whole career in making music, meaning that I absolutely have no idea about real proper mixing. I've done some search and found out there is a book named "ReaMix: Breaking the Barriers with REAPER", which is updated 5 months ago, apparently the contents would be up-to-date for now.

Of course I am pretty sure that the book is well-written and helpful for those who are into mixing, but what I want to know is: would you recommend this book to a novice who does not know a thing about mixing. If so, I will definitely buy one.

Thanks a lot, have a nice weekend

The book is certainly designed primarily for people with little or no mixing experience.

To clarify another point (full disclosure!) it was written at the time of REAPER 3 (I think) and REAPER has developed since then. However, the principles and techniques that it demonstrates and teaches don't vary thru time, and can be applied with any version of REAPER and any DAW, not only REAPER.

You can read some reviews here (but don't buy it at Amazon ... it's cheaper at LULU!)

By the way, my partner and I visited South Korea a couple of years ago, mostly in and around Seoul. It was a really memorable experience, we completely loved it (except for K-pop ha ha - just kidding).

Oh, I'm glad you had a good time...! It's not a site of superb scenic beauty unfortunately, but still an interesting city I think. Though it was hard to see blue sky for last few years because of fine dust.

ReaMix is a gemstone (for beginners in 'Audio Mixing in Reaper' and 'Audio Mixing' in general)!

Thank you so much for the recommendation! I love reading fiction books that are full of meaning, have an interesting plot and strong characters. One of my favorite books, The Yellow Wallpaper, is a clear, fascinating short story. You can read more about this book at https://studydriver.com/the-yellow-wallpaper/ Filled with charismatic, inflammatory content, at one time there was nothing like "Yellow Wallpaper".
