Groove templates? "beat-based audio templates"

A friend recently described how in new PT you can make a midi template from an audio track- so you can make midi drums match a non click track performance recording. On Reaper home page it mentions "beat-based audio templates" Is this anything along the lines of the PT feature? I've scanned the manual etc with no luck. Any info appreciated.

you need the FNG extension by Fingers

this can get grooves from midi or sliced audio & apply it to midi or sliced audio (or both)
