Default Subprojects for only MIDI (for hardware)

So far, subprojects are basically a render of whatever you already have recorded (or MIDI going out to a VST) but I'm proposing that there be a kind of subproject that can let MIDI (going out to hardware instruments) pass through to the main project.

Why is this useful?
For the ones of us who use hardware synths more than VSTs, we wouldn't have to record our work first before being able to hear it in the main project. It's useful for video scoring in particular where (if this is implemented) you would be able to score an entire lengthy project with hardware synths and then record everything at the end once you're done with the actual scoring. It would make video scoring 10 times quicker and you wouldn't have to interrupt your workflow to record just to hear your hardware instruments in the main project.

I'm not sure how this could work but if Digital Performer can have chunks, then Reaper can learn from it and potentially even make it better. It's already almost there with subprojects by itself.

Please, Justin and Schwa! I know you can find a way! Many people have been asking for this in different ways (usually called "live subprojects"). Please look into this for the love of all that is musical 🙏
