Default some work on reatune?

Loves me some reatune! It's my go-to plug, but it could use some tweakery. Just the basic stuff like being able to highlight a marquee'd selection to copy it would be awesome.

Waves tune lite is virtually useless and I don't have 500$ to spend on melodyne, which is probably no better sounding than reatune.

Having a killer tuner in Reaper might be a big selling point. Just sayin'.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys. Reaper rocks!

Cos.

While you of course are right, but we do know (and love) that Reaper is not at all about "selling" or other "commercial" issues as "saving", but purely about technology (and music).

So - because really great "Tuner" plugins already are available by 3rd parties, and Cocos recently took a great effort to perfectly integrate them - I don't suppose that this request will trigger much interest of the devs.

You have a good point:

... but an unlovely argumentation:

You guys are confused! Software development is the same as music, we do it to get rich so we can do it for love. Our hearts are pure, not stupid.

lol,

Cos.

Not everybody wants to get richer than (s)he is at the current moment.

IMHO this permanent pursuit in many cases is not healthy at all.

I hope you got the lol part. I've been a professional musician for 40 years and have made literally hundreds of dollars.

If i had saved any of those hundreds I might invest in some of those great 3rd party "tuner" plugs, but sadly I had to pay rent. If I didn't have to pay rent I too would do everything for free.

Any free tuner plugs out there?

So, financial considerations aside, is this on anybody's wish list?

I find I spend (eek) much time drawing lines on the manual tuning page and being able to copy paste sections to copy pasted audio would speed things up. Also being able to marquee and delete small sections would be handy when re-recording vocals.

Thanks for your consideration!

I'd like to see it get a midi input to use as destination notes for tuning, though it's not something I'd use every day.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure Reaper supports sending both midi and audio to the same plugin at the same time. Maybe it could accept a midi send from another track or something.

Another thing be cool, have the manual correction follow the item when you move or copy paste it.

Judging by how fast this thread dropped I imagine the devs have many other fish to fry, but is there any chance this might happen?

Mmmh ... for some audio-material the elastique-algorithm works
better than the melodyne-algo. So a better handling via Reatune
would be very nice.

Any chance? Nobody knows ... maybe it will happen one day
or it will not.

Look here: ReaTune <==> Melodyne
and also here: ReaTune Features
