Bummer. I saw him at The Cabooze in Minneapolis about a dozen years ago, probably the loudest concert ever. My ears were begging for mercy for days after though he was spot on and he brought it big time. He had pretty serious health issues for a while but was a great guy and went out with his boots on.

I was just reading an article about him a few minutes ago. Poor guy couldn't afford to stop touring. I'll avoid getting political about it but it's a good read if you're curious.

Damn ... that's a hard life. Having to gig until you literally drop dead, even after multiple cancer surgeries. Cancer sucks, and our healthcare system sucks even harder.

That it is. But on the bright side, heath insurance companies are making money hand over fist by denying coverage to paying customers and engaging in all sorts of drug price racketeering.
