Default Suppress animation for 'Ripple editing' button?
Hi,

Is it possible to suppress the animation on the 'Ripple editing' button when it is enabled per track or for all tracks? It's rather distracting. This animation was added in version 7 as far as I can tell.

this was added in 7.02.

Goto Preferences -> appearance -> check "Don't animate any toolbar buttons"

Default Cycle ripple editing
It can be animated for me but i would like it to start disabled when i open up reaper.

How to achieve this ?

Ripple Edit setting is tied to project, to set as disabled for default try,...

Start New project > Disable Ripple Edit > Open Project Settings > click the 'Save as Default Project Setting' button.
