Default Issue with My MidiSport 2x2 MIDI Device which has been working

I have a MidiSport 2x2 MIDI Device using with a Dell Windows 7 x64 Laptop. I have had this setup up and working with no issues for a couple of years, successfully syncing an MPC and a Boss DR 880 to Reaper.

I just upgraded to the latest version of Reaper and am now getting an "Error opening devices" message when now opening Reaper. I have tried

1. a Retry,
2. a Reset all MIDI Devices
3. Rebooting of the Laptop

The error still persists.

I notice:

Input:
2 - MIDISPORT 2x2 In A !!! N/A: Enabled, ID is 2
2 - MIDISPORT 2x2 In B !!! N/A: Enabled, ID is 3
3 - MIDISPORT 2x2 In A <not present, ID is 4
3 - MIDISPORT 2x2 In B !!! N/A: Enabled, ID is 5
MIDISPORT 2x2 In A <disabled>, ID is 0
MIDISPORT 2x2 In B Enabled, ID is 1

Output:
2 - MIDISPORT 2x2 Out A !!! N/A: Enabled, ID is 4
2 - MIDISPORT 2x2 Out B !!! N/A: Enabled+Clock, ID is 5
3 - MIDISPORT 2x2 Out A <not present>, ID is 6
3 - MIDISPORT 2x2 Out B !!! N/A: Enabled, ID is 7
MIDISPORT 2x2 Out A <disabled>, ID is 2
MIDISPORT 2x2 Out B Enabled, ID is 3

It looks like to me, new configurations, settings were set up - the last two entries in both input and out sections - but the old ones were not cleared out and remain. I have not tried the MIDISPORT yet to see if it works.

I am not sure if I can just clear the entries out of the Preferences or if I need to unintall and reinstall the MIDIPORT drivers (hoping to not have to do that) ...

Was hoping for some advice before I start making changes ... Thanks for any responses ...

R click -> forget all the inputs with N/A or disabled.
Then click Reset Midi.
See if that helps.
