I can connect to my private ninjam server using as host name: "mycomputername:2049" that is off course the client and server are in the same network. I have my brother from a different state connect to my private server using "myipaddress:2049". I'm sure he got my correct ipaddress. I used a wireless router for my internet. Next time I will try to disconnect the router for testing if that is what is causing the problem. But if it doesn't work? what else is a possible solution so others can connect to my server.
Thank you for your help ...in advanced

I bought the reaper because of ninjam and was able to figure out the basics, enough to record my own songs (recorded my own drums, bass, rythm guitar, lead guitar and vocals) I'm sooooo happy with it. I play music instruments by ear (I dont use electronic tunner either just my ear)just self thought so I cannot write the song in music sheets so I record them. I looooooove reaper. The recording quality is sooo crispy even in mp3. Just plug my instruments raw to the audio interface (no amplifier). Then I played my song using my bose speaker. The recorded sound quality is spectacular compared to any of the CD music that I bought from the stores or download from Itune. I can hear every detailed sound that comes out of the instruments it is so natural. Kudos to the creator of reaper. The functions built into that software is soooooo comprehensive. It is definitely worth what I paid for ...... anyway back to topic...
The only thing missing is to get others to connect to my ninjam server. I need help!!! please.........
