Default various VST3 Plugins cease showing up

I'm having an issue where certain VST3 plugins no longer show up. Filterstation2 and Isotope RX6 collection no longer show up in my plugins list. I've cleared cache and rescanned...I've uninstalled cleared and rescanned then reinstalled and scanned again. Nothing seems to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Filterstation2 vst3 update

I did a quick test. I have a new laptop where I installed Filterstation2 and the vst3 version works fine so this issue appears to be confined to my main workstation.

I've uninstalled Filterstation2 opened reaper, cleared cache and rescanned. Then reinstalled Filterstation2 and still no vst3 version.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried using the VST 2 version? Unless you have a specific reason for using VST 3, don't use it.
IIRC, the benefits are negligible on most machines that run 64 bit.
After much research and trials, I always choose 2

Default Vst3

I use vst 3 instead of vst 2 because it’s 33.3% better. Kidding

There’s some annoying Windows vst installers which will do not allow you to specify where to install your vst’s. Instead of adding a director specific for one manufacturer I opted to use the vst3 version which always installs to the common files folder. 3000 plugins later (maybe I’m exaggerating) but the plugin verification process gets messy though what ultimately fixed the issue seems to simple be rearranging which directories get scanned first.

I wish I simply could move vst.dlls but that a recipe for disaster.
