Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have fixed my only major issue with the Imperial Theme - you brought back the indented track folders (I never could get the colored lights to indicate folders to be useful for me). I can't wait to install this theme (not at my recording computer right now).
My only other issue I didn't know was an issue until I started using a different theme that indented - the presence of envelope buttons on the TCP. Does one of your variants for the TCP swap out the input selector for the envelope button (that way I can switch that one thing out when I move from recording to mixing)?
Thanks again, Rob

All right, so I've installed the theme and it's beautiful - the tracks indent! I've played with the various layouts and I'm curious if the TCP option "Automator" should have the envelope button I mentioned above?
Actually, I love on "Swiper's Delight" that the input options are only visible when a track is record armed. Could that layout be modified such that the Envelope button is visible by default, but it switches to the Input selector when the track is armed?
Also, in Automator, the daughter tracks in a folder don't have the FX bin button any more. It's still on the MCP, so it's not a big deal, but I don't think it should disappear when the track is moved into a folder.
Again, thanks for your great edits to WT's most beautiful theme, and I hope I have inspired you to tackle these minor modifications.
Thanks again, Rob

You're welcome!
Glad you got it fixed.
It's odd though, are you using a light color for your system text?
It looks like this for me:

It does for me unless you have the TCP set very narrow.
If that's the case your best bet is the Automator "ShortName" layout.

yes, but depends on where you want it.
I'm guessing you want in the current position of the recinput.
you will need the change the code for the layout.

I don't see this behavior unless the panel is very thin, causing the recinput to disappear.
The FXin is dependent on the recinput being there, both are set to disappear unless the track is armed.
changing this behavior will require editing the layout code and likely need image changes as well.

Thank you, but I have no plans to modify the theme any further.
The only updates from this point will be to add new features that have been introduced to keep it current with Reaper.
The envelope mod is fairly simple once you understand how WALTER works.
I suggest making a simple theme to learn the mechanics, then you'll be able to make tweaks like that to any theme.
You might also want to take a look at LCS_BlueCore and LCS_BlueTone-6 which have their roots in Imperial's 'Dead Ringer' layout.
see links for them in my signature below.

@lucas_LCS: You're right, I am using a light color for the system text. I'm using a dark desktop theme, which displays light text on a dark background. It never occurred to me that it would affect the way applications look.
Adjusting the window background of the Reaper theme fixes it though.
Thanks again for this wonderful theme!

Sure enough, when I expanded the TCP everything showed up.

Thanks - BlueTone-6 looks like it might be a winner. I'll experiment with it for a while and see if it speaks to me...

Where'd the Colors Go?
I used to be able to color the entire MCP Track, like this:
I can't seem to do this anymore. Any clue as to why?

I am unable to replicate this issue.
open:
Options/Preferences/Appearance/TrackControl Panels
verify it is set to:
Tint track panel backgrounds.

Thanks.
I'm not seeing the issue in a portable install of v6.14, v6.19 or v6.22
I did have to go into the preferences I mentioned above and turn tinting for the panel backgrounds.
not sure why yours would be grayed out.
Just for clarity's sake, you need to have the theme loaded for the options to be available.
Try re-loading the theme if they are still grayed out.
Other than that, try it on a portable install.
are you on Windows, Mac, Linux?

I got, I got... got it, got it, got it... Sorry for the bother.
Apparently, whilst one ages, grey matter is evaporating all along the way. A bit daunting, that.
Thanks for the bail-out.... again

Okay but here is the thing, I have tried many, many different themes. Some for the looks, but didn't have the utility. Some had looks and utility. But this one, this one takes the cake. I mean the details, for instance.
On the track panel if you choose the "meter full - name number and core buttons".
When the track is armed, it actually has a small indicator box to show you exactly where -18dB is. Dude, you are a genius thank you for your hard work I am sure that is just the very beginning of how intuitive this interface is. Amazing!

I thank you on behalf of White Tie, since that was his work in the original Imperial theme for Reaper 4.
I'm glad you're enjoying the theme , but the majority of coding and graphics in this theme are White Tie's work.
I don't recall doing much to the TCP other than adding the color faders and few other changes to update it with some new features.
Most of the customization I did in this theme are in the mixer or MCP, but even there, the overall look and feel is due to his work.
Thank you for taking the time to comment, I'm sure if he reads this he will happy to see something he did several years ago is still being appreciated today.

Trying to migrate again from Paulie to something new on the eyes (just for the heck of it), and came back here because I've long wanted to use this theme . . . but I can't seem to find any Width controls on any of the Mixer Panel Layout options. Am I missing something or are there simply no Width knobs or sliders with this theme?

hmm... I think I've answered this question before, but for someone else and different theme.
instructions: right click on the pan knob or slider.
you should now have a pop-up box with the Pan Modes at the bottom.
- click on the Pan Modes box to get a drop-down list.
- Stereo mode wil give you the Pan & Width mode.
- Dual Pan will give the you Left & Right mode.

Many thanks!
I won’t lie, it could easily have been me. My ability to forget these details is strong.
EDIT: Yeah, I’m almost positive I asked this question a couple years ago and then totally forgot. XD

could be, but I'm pretty sure it's been more than one person.
I used Reaper for about 7 years and didn't realize the option was even there until I started working on themes.
I suspect there's a lot of us.

Hey,
could you explain how you changed the visibility of the folder structure (so only one light and also indentable)?

I don`t understand what is being asked.
if you are using this theme, the one light and indentation will happen automatically when a parent folder is created and child tracks are under it
if you are using another theme, you will need to edit the folder image files and the Walter code.

My suggestion then (if you`re just looking for the code), is to unpack the theme and look at the Walter code for the TCP.

Sincerest thanks to you and White Tie.
Perfect combination of style, functionality and retro-ness.
Excuse my asking, but would it ever be possible to a version with larger meters but the faders still as sliders? For example with FX inserts / sends reduced?
No problem if not. It's still my go to theme.

I know a new feature includes height adjustment, but I'm happy with it as it is. A big thanks to you both.
I love the other designs as well, particularly the Flat 6. Again practically thought out but visually spot on too.

how come the inserts don't show up for me? It looks a bit cluttered on my end. Maybe it's my monitor? Using a 1920/1080p monitor with windows scaling at 100%.

This mod of a great themer was terrible, I tried to drag the top edge of the mixer screen it would only go part of the way and the bottom was stuck at about the 50 percent of the VU meter.

yes Curtis, I didn't mod the mixer to be flexible or did you forget that the Imperial mixer was designed to be used full screen on a 1929x1080 display?
try LCS_BlueCore if you want a flexible, Imperial like based theme.
click on the link in my signature to find the list of links to my theme mods.
Feel free to use any of those themes or don't use them if you don't like them.
I only ask that you don't post unproductive complaints in any of the theme threads or in the comments section for themes on Stash.
