I'm struggling with the vulgarity and MILF reference. Also, it seems less attention was given to production and rhythmic accuracy.
true true i got to practice on my production and rhythmic accuracy i need to do dat quick times but quanity over quality universal talents da label money on da table - basedjesus
Well, that's generally good advice in life. But isn't this place about getting feedback? So, if the motto here is "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all", then what's the point of this forum? Are we supposed to give everyone a pat on the back and a participation trophy? How is that even helpful?
Nah, that cliche doesn't apply in this kind of situation and is probably the least helpful thing.
Personally, I'd want people to be honest about my music. I'm not looking for a participation ribbon.
I don't believe that's what Dimaension X meant. Note the "(or helpful)" text in his reply. He was simply saying - if you're going to be mean (or a dick), do it somewhere else. Constructive criticism... yes... a valuable part of this forum.
"she's my nurse when we have intercurse." Oh damn, that made my day. I just laughed my dick off.

To all: If you want the real skinny on this person, go check his previous posting history in his statistics.
OP: We who have looked at all your earlier posts and listened to the stuff you post KNOW you aren't interested in actual musical criticism of your work, you are just using this forum as a platform to promote your stuff.
If you were actually interested in genuine criticism, fair enough, but unless you change your posting style and also learn how to make something that is actually musical, you can forget critiques from me & probably 80-90% of the rest of the forum members.
If anyone comes here and gets confused, have a little look over here and take your confusion to the based level...
If anyone cares (and why would they?), here's some more info.
"Based means being yourself. Not being scared of what people think about you. Not being afraid to do what you wanna do. Being positive. When I was younger, based was a negative term that meant like dopehead, or basehead. People used to make fun of me. They was like, "You're based." They'd use it as a negative. And what I did was turn that negative into a positive. I started embracing it like, "Yeah, I'm based." I made it mine. I embedded it in my head. Based is positive."
And
"Musical critic Willy Staley described Lil B's work as "variegated", because it ranges from critical parodies of the hip-hop genre to "half new age, half spoken word"
Isn't it a perfect example of what happens when words lose their meaning? Anything can be anything.
Maybe that's a good thing...after all, words have taken a lot of abuse over the years. Maybe that's confusing...though confusion's good practice for critical thought. Maybe it's a slippery slope. Maybe the best we can hope to do in life is make lots of money and get our dicks sucked. Maybe Lil B is a genius prophet and should rule the world. Who the fuck knows?
All I know is that the time has come where I'm the old guy who doesn't get kids' music these days. Then again, when I was a kid everyone was huffing an Achy Brakey Fart.
