VST Plugins with problems in v4

Hello,

I thought it would be useful listing in an own thread some plugins with which there are problems with REAPER v4.
Specs: win 7 professional x64, reaper 4 beta 6 x64.

I start:

- Tone2 Firebird 1.11+ (x86 plugin); the bridged plugin GUI shows up tiny.

- Cakewalk Rapture (x64); crashes very often - probably plugin problem, it was reported on REAPER v3 also; the 32 bit version of the plugin is rock solid though.

- iZotope Vinyl's GUI is "blank" (clicking the mouse around begins to reveal bits and pieces of it). AU version is fine.

I've had random problems with Line6 Gearbox where it will crash Reaper x64. I think it has to do with bridging. I forgot to grab the details the last time it crashed.

Win 7 Pro x64. Reaper x64.

More than likely the 'bridge'. Have you tried sticking Gearbox in its own process?

You might want to consider upgrading to PodFarm 2.5, it is now available in 64-bit.

Maybe already known, but worth reminding... Cakewalk LP-EQ64 crashes REAPER as soon as it's added to a project.

yeah PodFarm 2.5 works fine for me, plus I can now use it WITHOUT the UX1, which was never really doing it for me.

rgc audio pentagon 1 bridged on 64x reaper still does not work,it just shows a blank square.
On windows 7 ultimate 64x using Reaper 64x.
Hope this is in right place.

BTW, may this thread be really useful ? I mean, do the R&D keep an eye on it, or will anyone report those x64 bugs to theim ?

WusikStation crashes a lot for me. REAPER Beta12 under Windows 7 64-bit.

In Dimension Pro and Rapture enter key doesn't work in preset browser, this problem is also present in v3; if I set the plugins to run in separated or dedicated process the enter key works (even with embedded GUI).

So, I guess it must be REAPER main process eating the enter key.

hmm, works fine here in 32 bit r4-beta12 , but i can confirm what mabian said: firebird is crashing very often...

I'm referring to REAPER 4 Beta being 32-bit on a 64-bit OS--kind of redundant since there's only 32-bit beta. Clarified my post.

if pentagon looks like a square there is a bug, for sure.

Are you saying that the Reaper 4 beta is *only* 32-bit??

Actually looking and LoL I do see 64-bit betas. I was under the assumption the beta was limited to 32-bit version. When did they start to show up? Have they always been there?

Normal and normal. This is true of any 32 bit plugin in a 64 bit host. That's why it has to be bridged.

Contact Waves, and ask why they're taking so long to get to 64 bit native.

Rapture x64 just crashed Reaper Beta 13 3 times today on my laptop, just a project with Rapture on its own. Haven't been using many synths in Reaper lately, I do most of my electronic music in Live & use Reaper for final mixing. Which is why I'm only noticing this problem now.

Also a headsup for anyone using Alchemy & Geist. I was getting constant crashes on the Trial of Cubase Elements when trying to load up Geist in a project with Alchemy. I Transferred the project to Reaper which resulted in constant audio dropout. It turns out someone reported this problem with Sonar also to Camel Audio & there's supposed to be fix coming in the next update of Alchemy.

I've got a problem with z3ta 1.5.3 where using the pitch bend causes a very loud blast of white noise. I'm hoping that z3ta 2 will fix this.

Altiverb randomly crashes REAPER all the time. I will try to load a session the first time..... crashes. Restart, load again and all is well.
