Envelope points copying/duplicating: Bug

Hi,
I realized that envelope points copying gives different results depending if you just copy points or copy it with item.
As you can see below:
on track 1 I have just duplicated item with envelope points,
on track 2 I have selected envelope (time selection exactly as the item) and I have copied it (Ctr+C, Ctrl+V).
The results are different. In my opinion the first one is the expected one.
What do you think? A bug? A feature and depends on some options, which ones? Maybe you have some solution how to achieve first result with second action?

That's a bug, yeah. Simply because "Add edge points when moving envelope points" is enabled so in this case REAPER should insert new points at time selection edges, just like it does when you copy points by dragging using the Mouse Modifier "Copy envelope point", see here:

Well, in my opinion that 3rd behavior is OK since it is "adding edge points".
