Default The problem about exporting MP3 files

Several days ago I recommended reaper to my friend to record.
However,it can't export to a ".mp3 file".

Well, from my link to the image, as you can see, it doesn't have "mp3" in reaper's drop-down menu.
In addition, the reaper's version is the latest version.

Can you help me?

I'm looking forward to your reply.

In default Reaper install, MP3 (LAME encoder) option should be right there in the list after the FLAC. Options/Preferences/ Show Reaper resource path in explorer/finder...go to Plugins folder to see if you have mp3 dlls there (e.g. reaper_mp3dec.dll and libmp3lame.dll, at least in Win10 x64 PC).

Have some options been clicked off during the Reaper install?

Thanks for your reply!!
Actually I asked my friend to check the option you mentioned.
Fortunately we have found the solution to this problem which was caused by "permission".
Because my friend use win10, after he reinstalled reaper under the administrator rights, 'mp3'appeared.
