Default Reaper Midi clock loopback

Either something is wrongly setup on my DAW or reaper's midi clock is severly broken
Here is the case

HDSP midi out set to - ENABLE+SEND CLOCK+ NO SPP.

Checking the No SPP helped in fixing a problem of incorrect start sync of External hardware sequencer\ Arp with the DAW clock

But there is a recurrent problem , i will try to explain it with an example,

Arturia Minibrute
in the midi out pref is set to - ENABLE+ SEND CLOCK+ NO SPP.

now lets say i want to play a few notes and for which i
setup a MIDI track with Komplete kontrol as MIDI in and Arturia Minibrute
on the MIDI hardware send of the same channel. the sequencer is
running on 120bpm steady clock and i just wanna record or play some notes alongside
the sequence for which i record enable the Arturia Minibrute channel, suddenly the
clock mulitplies and the sequencer is running at an arbit 400+ bpm.

This has been driving me up the wall thats why i have started using ABelton
as my midi sequencer locked with Reaper for tracking in the audio from the hardware
synths.
I would really appreciate it if someone can help me out with this. It has been a terrible show stopper for me in the recent times and discouraged me to use my hardware to work .

Sounds like you have two midi clock sources running at once.
Mc sync golden rule...
Only one master...the rest slaves.
The doubling of the tempo says.....two masters here.

I can see that it loops back the moment you activate midi hardware send.
Reaper is the only clock i am using for midi. So i really don't know the exact source of clock mulitplication.

you may be experiencing a MIDI data loop. Having set the MIDI input in Reaper to "all MIDI inputs", you are not just receiving MIDI from the keyboard you're playing on on that track but other data from other devices also. If any of the devices receiving MIDI clock has its MIDI thru feature enabled for its MIDI out, it will pass through data like MTC and it will send it back into Reaper.

I'd change the MIDI input of the track you're playing on to only receive that keyboard's MIDI exclusively and verify the MIDI thru status of your MIDI hardware devices.

Thank you sonic axiom
I am going to try this and I have a bad feeling I am going to slap myself for doing this ! The only reason I keep it to all midi inputs is because I use my komplete control and F1 to play and automate. If this is an issue , I will have to start using midi sends on the input and keep only one dedicated midi controller on the midi input of any channel .
Thank you for helping out.i shall report back soon
