x64 rewire
+ x64: ReWire support (master/mixer only)
How did they do that? Is it a 32 bit bridge? Or does Pheads now support 64bit?
It actually works!

Tested a few midi arps.
Miditron was one that always crashed Reaper, sometimes leaving my soundcard buzzing and needing a restart. Works ok now, notes hang if I unload while playing, but it works fine in normal usage.
Hypercyclic still messes up, but it does this in other hosts.
All in all, a thumbs up on midi hanging notes bug.

MENU CUSTOMIZATION!
Now that's a feature that will take time fine-tuning. I'd also like to sort the sections on the main toolbar (so that I can put Extensions BEFORE Help).
Other than that AWESOME RELEASE!

Finally I have been able to fix the problem where you can hide all envelopes by rightclicking on an envelope track but once they are all gone there's no way to show them again - added hide/show envelope toggle to track rightclick menu

Just played around with the customizeable menus.
As I'm doing commonly more mousing than using shortcuts this is huge !
Thanks a lot.

regarding the menu customization - are the changes saved to a file somewhere for example
thinking of a share/swap place where we can try out users own customizations or popular ones that suit certain situations.
nice update of course...

yes BenK-msx, changes are stored in reaper-menu.ini in your installation folder.
Of course, I've translated all menus entries/titles to spanish and I'll share them in the Spanish Forum and in Hispasonics Forums as soon as 3.13 hits the streets. If a thread is created for such matter then I'll upload them there too.

Would be nice to be able to save different menu sets for different usage such as lets say an editing set, mixing set, tracking set etc.

Haha, cool ride
These custom menus open up a new layer for key shortcuts as well. That's amazing news. Rightclick - hit key is an awesome turbo for those that like to keep the mouse in one hand. WOW!!!
Please open more of the context menus for customisations. I miss MIDI editor and mixer view above all.
And I hope that customize window will turn out to be more editing friendly.
- Rename per doubleclick (and F2),
- Remove per delete key,
- Add per insert key,
- All of the above can also appear in a context menue rightclicking an entry
- Select/copy/paste of multiple entries at once
- Save to file /open file
Things like that. This feature is a big leap, but being all about tedious organizational work, it can't be made smooth enough to tinker with it. Much love.
On a side note: Is it only here or are SWS color (track and item) menus hosed as soon as track/item context menus are changed?

ah yes thankyou, had a quick look but missed it...[edit - because i'd not created it] thats good, as am sure not all menu customizations will be equal and a really good setup will emerge... yum

The color/icon extension submenu does get cleared when you customize the main/file menu, that was unfortunately unavoidable. But we've added some more developer-friendly menu hook API functions, and I believe SWS is expecting to release an update to his extension dll that will work well with customized menus.

two things I miss most:
1. Seletct multiple item in menu editor to delete.
2. Delete an entire submenu. It seems we have to do it one entry at the time.
The rest is great!

I feel at home now after all these years:
http://img29.**************/img29/2915/custommenus.png
I'd like to see the main menu also customizable and more context menus added down the road. Great start nonetheless!
Time to jump ship!

... ultimate flexibility
But, after each of us has pimped our menus we'll need an easy way to run Reaper with all the factory menus so that we can give sensible (followable) advice to forum queries and problems.
[I know I could rename the .ini file, but that does not fall within my definition of "Easy".]

yes Shan following on from that i feel a set of 'migration' aiding menu sets to compliment the keymaps would persuade alot of folk to give reaper more of a chance initially.
e.g a PT menu and keymap set, same for sonar/cubendo yada yada.
also i think Darkstar - the last entry on a tweaked menu is a link to the default menu, which is indeed good thinking on reapers part.
--
I also noticed that e.g the right click media item menu was very wide due to the 'apply track fx to item and new take (mono output)' entries being quite long, once abbreviated the whole menu has a neater narrower width...

On the way. We'll need to be able to add/delete/rename etc the main menus up top though to make such a plan complete. Nonetheless, at this point, it makes REAPER an absolute pleasure to work in being able to use my 10 year old PT habits.
Begun, the clone war has.

Schwa or Justin, since in the last update you gave "drag item to desktop" some love on the mac, would it be possible to get it to do multiple items at once? This would be amazing for so many things though I guess there is a reason why you haven't yet?
I also think it would be good to have presets for menus so you could put reaper out with not only key commands and themes that are similar to all the other daws (and make people feel "right at home") but also now the menus from other daws too.
very cheeky!!

OSX 10.5.8 Intel related:
Costumize menues is great. But there is something wrong I think.
It is not possible to get "Recent Projects" and "Project Templates" in my menue-idea. Both just don´t show up if I go to File. If I open up menue point Costumize menues again both are not in my list. I have to reset all adjustments to get them back.
-----------
+ Track icons: set all tracks to the same width when any track icons are used
cool! Thanx for this one.

About this:
+ Take names: automatically focus take name field when showing item properties
Ok for setting focus to take name, but please don't select the whole take name by default: it's too easy deleting the take name when pressing accidentally a key.
Give focus to the textbox but don't select the current take name.
Thanks,
Mario
