Touch OSC and reaper
Touch OSC: Noticed there is now a new group on FB discussing & sharing TouchOSC but not much about templates specifically for Reaper.
I have been using the Logic template, but am hoping someone on here has written one that works a little closer with Reaper.

Custom ones, of course, it's the Reaper/CSI way

So, like I said in the first place: anyone got some that they are up for sharing?

Sorry, should have said, those shown in the video are in the download, all the Touch OSC Layouts, .ost and .zon files.

I found this one called TouchReaper that works great. Looks like it was based off LogicTouch but includes some handy extra tabs.

There's the OSC template and the ReaperOSC file.

Thanks, chaps! I was planning on using other people`s templates to form the basis of one of my own. Much easier to learn when copying the work of someone who actually knowa what they are doing! I currently use the Logic one supplied with TouchOSC but it would be nice to have something a little more reaper-centric..

Check out the one I linked to above. It seems just that. Based on LogicTouch but expanded for Reaper. At least that's my understanding. Not sure who created it but there's probably a thread on here somewhere.

Before I delve into downloading and using TouchOSC - can somebody please confirm that the following scenario would work?
I need visual feedback from rec-armed tracks, i.e. which rec-armed (midi) track is selected. Actual use: during live perfomance, I control track selection either manually or via automated marker actions. The manual selection part of course works, but switching tracks in the background isn't mirrored in LogicTouch. Does this work in CSI?

I'd warn that CSI is in Alpha state and for that reason, I probably wouldn't use it in a live situation. The last thing you'd want is your surface to stop communicating mid set [because it's alpha software], forcing you to restart Reaper and/or your machine. That said, if what you're looking to do is select a channel on-screen and have the control surface reflect the Record Arm state of that track, yes CSI can do that for MIDI so I assume it works for OSC too. For instance, my MIDI Fighter Twister is configured to have lights that appear if a channel is Armed, and it doesn't matter if I select the channel on the MFTwister or on-screen, the correct Arm state is reported to the hardware, and the light comes on accordingly.
In each zone, you can add an action called "SelectedTrackNavigator" which tells CSI "hey, this button/knob/fader/whatever [these are "widgets"] applies to the selected track." Elsewhere you'd have already defined a "TrackArm" widget that can receive feedback from CSI. At that point, CSI would follow the selected track in Reaper and relay the relevant information back to the surface.

Thanks a lot, Funkybot!
CSI will be what I need, once it's out of alpha, features sound great.

If you fancy hacking things together yourself, I've posted code, layout and project over in this thread.
I've been using the set up for well over a year and it "works for me", as reliably as Reaper can with it just having turned 6.x and having to handle 48Gb-plus of drumkits loaded into 32Gb of RAM... (Since 6.x, I've had a couple of crash to desktop moments whilst jamming.)
