Veeeery nice 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

It would be nice to have more different colors for the midi notes. I don’t mean totally unrelated colors but I don’t, maybe blue/orange (blue’s complementary) or something like that. I enjoyed the midi section in your previous themes but I think that with more than one color is much simple to see what’s going on.

Keep up the great work Claude!

That dickhead is back to posting Claude's work in the stash. If everyone could report him that would be much appreciated.

I would love a velocity dependent color scheme, otherwise it looks very nice on the eyes. Fabulous!

Haha, no problem, you're welcome

If I could wish for something... would it be possible to have a TCP template that shows very long track names (very much needed for orchestra templates)?

@ Blankfiles
The TCP pan knob is distracting to me, it's a bit too photo-realistic to integrate fully with the theme.
Everything else looks great. nice colors choices.

TCP KNOB IS AWESOME !!! If you remove it theme will look like a toy again in a Reaper theme which looks like a toy already. If someone doesn't like it you could make an alternative layout.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't make the MCP size fixed.
The other themes of yours are pretty but since I cant resize specially the area
where the volume slider is (MPC again) I don't use them at all. Reaper original default 5 you can resize that (and the fx slots part and the sends/recieve slots part).

TCP looks fantastic, I'm a huge fan of the coloured slider bar for volume and knob (with coloured position indicator) for pan.

Hydra is my 'daily driver' at the moment but I think this could easily take that place for the TCP alone.

Great work!

When you finish this, I'm going to reinstall Reaper (was waiting for 6.0, since I'll need a new license then). And see if I can keep from playing around with the way it looks instead of making music.

Props, Señor Blankfiles!

Though we have to concur that the knob is the only photorealistic element on this 2D theme.
EDIT: aside from that, it looks f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c !

I get you, but photorealistic for me is a big leap :P

I think it fits so well anyway.

And I hope we get at the end what you want and what I want. :P

Very nice!

However one thing I don't like - the background outside of items should be darker, there's not enough contrast between what's an item and what's not.

Also, the pan knob in TCP is stylistically way too different to the rest of the GUI, and volume slider. Lose the shadow, it's too much vs the rest of the UI which is almost flat. Suggestion: take the movable part of the slider and make it the center of the knob, and add the blue positional thing around it. That should look nicer?

Wouldn't want to lose that feature because of indistinct colors either.

pLEASEEEE whatever you do if you were going to remove the PAN KNOB, have at least an alternate layout with it. For me it looks GREAT AND ED IS CRAZY (with love ED :P).

I have nothing against the pan knob being there. It just doesn't look flattering to the rest of the GUI which is great. I think if it were styled exactly like the slider thumb is, it would be much better.

Though I'm all for the theme, I do have something against the disparate TCP volume knob.
The theme is one of the best I've seen, but imagine it in reverse:
You'd have a flat 2D knob on an otherwise photorealistic console-looking theme.
It's like, who framed Roger Rabbit?

I'd rather if vol slider thumb AND pan knob didn't have any shadows. Would be just fine then.

I am quite okay with you about the pan! However I try to stay as close as possible to superior drummer, I am also stay surprised of the pan but I will create new layouts with different pan because the possibilities are huge! And I really like the idea has Evildragon thank you! And for the colors in the section of items and MIDI are going to be improved

thanks all !!

I favor Shadows 100%! On vol slider and pan knob. For me this theme is near perfect.
I agree about what ED says about items's contrast, but not to the point of bothering me.

And again, "photorealistic" is far fetched.

And at the end you can make a layout with no shadows, no "photorealistic" knob.
Or viceversa. I use default theme (dark) and I don't use the basic layout, I use "da Session Mixer" and for me that layout is awesome, if it wasn't for that layout I wouldn't even look in the eye to the Reaper 5's default theme.

Yeah, I know how the pan knob looks in SD3. It also bothers me there

Look at how much shadow there is below the menus and buttons, and then compare that with the pan knob. They're not consistent. Now, you could argue since knobs are usually "taller" than buttons, they would cast a longer shadow. But this makes no sense when you're facing them directly frontally (you're looking dead ahead on them).

Thus I'd reduce the shadow on the pan knob to be more akin the thinner shadow on the menus/buttons. Just my 2 cents

Worst thing ever, having all the text names on the items, I disable those, sound + color should be enough, much cleaner look then, imo.

Well thankfully that's an option that themes cannot enforce, you're free to set things up that way if you want. For some workflows having names on items is absolutely crucial.

"For some workflows having names on items is absolutely crucial"

+1 On this !

Sidenote: I find the Arrange area and the item colors incredibly dark and really depressive to look at.
Just my subjective opinion ofcourse.

I hope to see a "Light" version also, maybe abit lighter Grey color than used in TCP.

Honestly so much time passed I don't really remember everything... But stuff like latch preview graphics (which wasn't there originally since it's a Reaper 4 theme), for example. I also tweaked a number of theme colors to my liking (in MIDI editor especially), added some icons for some toolbar functionality that I wanted and weren't there, etc. etc.

Anyways, back to topic at hand. Mr. Blankfiles, how is the progress of this? Where is your Paypal account so we can donate you some beers, to keep things "going smoothly"?

If you were to eliminate totally that knob, could you PLEASE release it in a separate file
so I can just replace it ? Thanks so much, I love that knob myself.
