Default Blues in G

The scene is a jazz dinner club. I'm a teacher and it's a student guitar performance, age 16. I join in at the first and last chorus with a backing guitar line on the left. Nylon string guitars. The theme is a piece originally recorded by Joe Pass and Herb Ellis, though this has some improv in it as well.

All comments appreciated.

[edit] New mix with the audience sound raised a couple dB (except during the applause). http://www.timothylawler.com/music/gbluesnickbg2dB.mp3

Thanks Mr. Schuster! It was done with a close mic on each guitar, then I tried to mix it to create a stereo pair feel, so I'm glad it came across to you that way. One of the things I'm uncertain about is the mix balance of the audience sound, which I have on a separate stereo track. Did I mix it too low? [Edit: I mean the general audience and dinner club background sound rather than the applause]

Love the groove and flow of this. I wouldn't have minded being in that audience one bit.

The audience to me is loud enough at start and end but I had to listen for it during the performance to know it was there. Could be my battered ears of course...
