Default Peak view at high zoom levels

The drawing of the peaks changes drastically between two zoom levels (I'm using the mousewheel to zoom in).
There is an in-between zoom level, somewhere between the super high level zoom where you get dots representing the sample and a lower zoom level, where the peaks are drawn much more faint than at those other levels. Complicated to explain but easy to see...

I can't imagine a good reason for this so I can only assume it's a bug.

that's where reaper is no longer using the peak file and instead reading from the file directly. I guess outlines aren't drawn for that.
