Default Confusing behavior with custom scrolling.

Howdy reaper folk, having some trouble with my custom scrolling changes. I am a long time FL studio user, it is a part of me. I've been using it to write tracks with my band, tracking, monitoring, etc... However FL's not quite as efficient with plugins when tracking so I'm hitting buffer errors a lot. Reaper handles things much better for this so I'm hoping to incorporate that to alleviate the insane CPU usage differences (archtype cory wong is 25% cpu in FL, only 7% in reaper). Since I'm so used to FL, I'd really like the zoom and scroll behaviors to match, because honestly reapers defaults are terrible (sorry).

My problem is that I can't get the zoom and scroll behaviors to work right.

I have ctrl + mousewheel set to zoom horiz

I have alt + mousewheel set to zoom vert

My problem is when I hit alt + mousewheel, the playlist loses focus and "File" is highlighted at the top of reaper. I have to left click the playlist to be able to be able to zoom/scroll again.

it seems these same settings are working perfectly fine in the midi editor, just doesn't work in the playlist.

Welp I just solved it, there's an option to prevent Alt from focusing menu.
