Default Copenhagen musician calls for 10 bpm music to dance to

https://www.thewire.co.uk/news/48009...-made-at-10bpm
Quote:
Composer and founding member of the percussive ensemble G-Bop Orchestra (featured in The Wire 390 for subscribers), Greta Eacott has put out an open call for music that plays at 10BPM. “If I make a dance club with music at 10BPM will anybody come? What will it sound like? Can I dance to it? Will it be enjoyable?” asks Eacott, who aims to play all the submissions at a nightclub in Copenhagen soon.

...

Submission deadline is 25 September.
Anyone made any music in Reaper that would fit the bill? Sounds like a nice change of pace to me!

And I thought my jams lack energy. I wonder if they'd accept tunes with dense 256th note melodies.

I ended up making a noise track for this. Is it danceable? Not really!

^Yes- actually if your not aware, that people can have a bpm of 1 and still be playing tracks over 1000x times that speed
EG; set daw bpm to 1> record your band/voice/instruments >playing any tempo-- what happens when played back?
Users are limited by sample rates and seconds only.
Midi is slightly different as it's ticks or w/e.
Tempo is not an 'issue' until you make it "1".

Yeah, but it's about the spirit of the thing rather than the DAW setting. You'd only be cheating yourself. If your bass drums are normally 8th notes then sure, your 10 bpm tracks will sound twice as fast as most and nobody has grounds to complain. And I won't knock putting the 256th note melodies zeekat speaks of over top of it until I've heard the result.
