Default Using Serum VST Synth, every instrument (except default wavetable) plays constantly

When using Serum plugin synth in Reaper, every instrument (except the default wavetable) plays constantly as soon as you choose it (see attachment).

I assume this is a little different than a stuck note as this happens before I actually add a midi item to the track.

I've tried various solutions (including the one on this forum in the #stuck note VST synth# post)

I love using Reaper, I've used it for along time but if I can't use it with Serum I may have to try another DAW.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks

All your pic shows is a static menu window.
Are you saying that you open the plugin and then it makes continuous sounds on every patch, or is it that you cant separate out the individual sounds within the plugin?

Went to D/L Serum and see if I could repeat, but unfortunately even their"free trial" insists on having my credit card info.

Default Thanks for replying

'Are you saying that you open the plugin and then it makes continuous sounds on every patch'

That's correct.

The screen shot i attached is the Serum vst plugin window that you see in reaper when you click the 'fx' button on a track. The issue occurs as soon as you select an(y) Serum instrument.

I`m betting this is more likely to be a Serum issue than a Reaper issue.

I am going to google serum issues and see what comes up.

Oh dear: I put in "Serum issues" and got a screenful of people with assorted problems with Serum from around 2014 up to today.

I would talk to them first if I were you.

Very possibly, I've posted on their support forum too.

Thanks for your help,

Cheers

Sorry I can`t offer anything better.

In the meantime, maybe try installing a fresh portable version of Reaper, add JUST Serum to plugins and see if the problem pesists.

A portable install is self-contained and doesnt affect your existing installation.
That way youi know you are experimenting with a new plain-vanilla install. This would at least rule out any weirdnesses you may have introduced by changing something in your original Reaper setup, either deliberately or by accident
