Looks awesome. I agree with some of the others: the the fader part of the MCP should be stretchable. I'd rather be able to stretch the fader than have a gazillion inserts and sends. I'm sure many mixers here have never used more than 4 or 5 inserts anyway...

actually i can't do that, because images stack for volume/pan are not stretchable. There is a trick used by Seventh in its awesome theme "Symbiosis" that can do that, but unfortunely in my case it causes to have the whole track colored by the color background, which i don't want.

If devs could add an option to color only the track index background image, as i asked in this FR http://forum.cockos.com/project.php?issueid=5122 (PLS VOTE!) the life will be soooooo much easier to themes like this.

Thanks for the small layouts I work on a 1440 x 900 screen so it's better for me than the previous large vu meter version.

Thanks for making the MPC shrink for us laptop users. If it's not too much t ask, anyway you might be able to create a sidebar for the fx per track?

This is a great theme. Thanks a lot!

Just one comment. Have a look at the symbols inside the red circle in the attached picture. They are a little blurred here and the symbol with the three lights seems a little too squeezed horisontally compared to vertically.

The reason is that i didn't provide any layout for the master tcp track.
But it seems you are the lucky one...i've just upload an update with that, a big meter layout both for tcp and mcp (for mixing/mastering), and an rms meter strip.

v1.4: https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1415/Beatwing%20v1.4.zip

Have fun!

Nice work!

I've been using Alter Ego for years (Cubase style theme), and in the future if I decide to use Bitwig with Reaper (after it matures a bit), it will be great to have a theme like this.

Update v1.5!

https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1415/Beatwing%20v1.5.zip

fixed volume tcp bug, added tcp track controls, added generic volume/pan, added main/midi toolbar icons, added midi table, item and generic icons and knobs

Have fun!

ps: i don't know why but the Reaper stash doesn't update the file name displayed....but i've download from it and checked and it is the new one (v1.5). Maybe does it need some time to update the file name in the stash?

Here a screenshot made on a laptop of 15''....using the small screen layout multiple rows work

In my opinion the third one will be good for the unselected tcp and the second one will be nice for the selected tcp.

Sry this is not possible....because tcp buttons don't have a 'selected' state, only mouse off, mouse over and mouse on. You should give just one preference

The third one is good for the original theme and the second one is good for the bright theme.

Is there a reason the transport text is blue?

I love everything about this theme except for the height of the faders in the MCP! It'd be way better to have a lot more fader real estate. The only thing putting me off using this theme...

Yes just read the entire thread and agree the track name font in the mixer needs to track the font used in the TCP maybe. Since I only need a mixer to view once I start the show it might help others to read that small print with a dark background and neon colors, or black and white, just options for font size would be really appreciated.
The mixer view has everything a performer needs, and the toolbar showing is for the gig, the transport and arranger toolbars are hidden to have a large arrange view for performing.

Nice work though.

Maybe the new big fader layout is good for you.

Nice work though.
My personal suggestion is to use the default layout for produce/mixing, the big fader layout and huge master layout for mixing/mastering, small screen layout for live performance.

Cheers!

This looks great (including the new scrollbar)! After you made the big meters in the mcp, this is now my favourite theme.

We skip the v1.9 and go directly to 2.0!

v2.0: https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/1433/Beatwing%20v2.0.zip

Changelog:

v2.0: volume stack behavior in the big fader layout (70 meters of image!!), new midi color map, fixed some bits in mixer. Happy 2.0!

Nice stuff! Thank you!

One thing I noticed is that if using other toolbar icons (i.e. ones that come with REAPER) they will not turn orange when turned on.
