I was just wondering is there a way to open the midi editor while reaper is playing a song, because as of right now it would be just be click after clicking with the mouse, or is this a bug needing to be addressed.

Double-clicking a MIDI item while playing the song does open the MIDI editor here? Maybe I misunderstood?

Thank you for responding,I mean like while your song is playing you might find a spot that you want to reedit or something but as long as stuff is still playing{in the arrangement window that is} it seems impossible to just double click and open because it won't open, sorry if this seems confusing,I somtimes have a tough time explaining myself.

I'm not following this either. You can double click and open an editor while it's playing.
