I would support such a video-series. At least a comparson of limiters, compressors, eqs and what the differences are and what these difference could be used for would be cool.
I use them rarely, as I simply have no idea, what the farily childish compressor does differently, compared to 1175 compressor. Or if itÄs same same but different.
I have the feeling, I miss out on some cool JSFX-tools, just because I don't get them.

i didn't. i said that the reaper manual is pretty weak. which comes from the fact that there's nothing in there that gives all of the various affects on an audio file when you glue it. which was instead answered for me here: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread....highlight=glue
however, there's no doubt that the reaper manual is an impressive achievement and calling it weak was possibly too strong

I seriously wonder if anybody actually knows everything there is to know about all 220 JS plug-ins! The JS tools have all been written by various authors over the years and have no real co-ordination.

You did and you come across with an entitled attitude. This is a very friendly channel so you might back it down a bit.

Yeah, I think too. But even if it's only in part of them being described, it would be a good start.
I also doubt that somebody tested them all, let alone understand.
It's just also sad, so many tools, maybe even good, mostly done for nothing.
Maybe a video series would not be the media for it. Rather a thread with "experience reports" or something.
So everyone could add to it, even if they only know aboit 2 or 3 Jsfx

Videos work so well, though. Maybe Kenny Gioia will start doing more jsfx tutorials The one he did on the midi choke plugin was incredibly useful. Also, the mid-side decoder/encoder video.

Yes you did.
Listen here, Mr. 18 posts-with-an-attitude.
You come in here demanding this and that, calling the manual useless, offending long time Reaper users like Nicholas.
You want to get those videos? Make them yourself. Learn the program. Spend some time with the program instead of trolling around here.

I agree.
Maybe one stickied thread with a link to each sub thread discussing each one in great detail. Hopefully by the people who made it?

Good idea. I would offer to help if my documentation skills were not so weak.

That's actually not a bad idea. Or just a rundown of the "top 10" plugins (EQ, reverb, compression, delay, some midi plugins, etc.), including both JS and Cockos plugins.
Doesn't have to cover the entire universe. Who uses 200 different plugins anyway.

As usual, some arrogant twat hands the forum lemons and we appear to be starting to make lemonade, despite the OP. Well done, chaps.
O.P. For goodness sake start re-reading your own posts and accept that your attitude really has been pretty dire. Either that, or get some rememdial classes in English communication skills.
It usually takes a lot to get me ticked off with someone, but sadly you are now bordering on my "ignore " list. Only two people on it at present, so unless you want to join that exclusive club, wind your neck in. As I said before, taske a deep breath, stop posting nasty little snips and see if you can present yourself a little more reasonably.
We all try to act like grownups on here, but it`s difficult when faced with somone displaying the childish ("did/didn`t her") attitude you are.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. I'd at least like to take a moment to appreciate just how extremely silly this thread got, and how quickly it did that. I'd also like to take back everything I said earlier and replace it with a bunch of weird guttural noises

Probably a much more reasonable response than mine, I guess.
It just seems like we have had a lot more of the grumpy, hectoring nutters on here since lockdown... Especially Brits, like me!

Name calling should never be the first reaction for sure but after a while when a person obviously needs correcting a good strong name calling lets them know clearly where you stand because you are obviously not getting through with the previous language. Fun fact: I have found that with Comcast it's the only language they understand.

Respect is a two way street, and something that you have to earn.
The original poster has done nothing in that regard.

See Coach`s response to this. I have a fair amount of patience for an old fart, but there are limits.
