Default Plugin "Frame" -> [Param] -> Parameter Modulation menu

Working with Geoff on improving the User Guide in some especially sophisticated issues, I found that in the Plugin "Frame" the [Param] -> Parameter Modulation et.al menu layout is rather odd and might be prone to improvement.

Some stuff I found:

Once you moved a parameter in the plugin, the menu is enhanced by some points that target the last moved parameter. While this is great, it seems rather odd, that the configurations you can do there are different from those you can do when selecting a parameter "by hand". You will do a direct 1:1 link to Midi messages with the last moved parameter, while otherwise you will have a linear curve defined for the modulation. Both options are viable, but it's hard to understand why they are reached via different ways.

It would be more intuitive if the "latest touched parameter" menu points would have a 1:1 correspondence with the menu points that allow for selecting a DAW parameter.

There is a "Learn" option. While "Link to Midi" works on local Midi messages at that point in the FX chain, "Learn" (if used with Midi) works on global Messages in the Reaper Control Path that might be derived from midi Messages elsewhere. This is a cause of major confusion, especially as there is no additional hint on that in the name of the "Learn" menu point.

In fact it would be good to call this something like "Learn from global Control Messages".

Additionally a menu point "Learn from local Midi Messages" and (necessarily additional) "Learn from local High Res Midi Messages" would be very welcome.

Default Suggestion

Something like that:

Code:
(Last Touched Parameter)
-Show in track control
-Show track envelope
-Midi Link -----------------------> -CC14 Bit
                                    -CC
                                    -...
                                    -Bus
                                    -Channel
-Parameter modulation / Midi link -> "Parameter modulation/link" configuration Windoww
-Learn local Midi message --------> -CC 14 Bit
                                    -other
-Learn global Control Path message
-Alias parameter
-FX parameter list ---------------> (Parameter list)
                                    -Show in track control
                                    -Show track envelope
                                    -Midi Link -----------------------> -CC14 Bit
                                                                        -CC
                                                                        -...
                                                                        -Bus
                                                                        -Channel
                                    -Parameter modulation / Midi link -> "Parameter modulation/link" configuration Window
                                    -Learn local Midi message ---------> -CC 14 Bit
                                                                        -other
                                    -Learn global Control Path message
                                    -Alias parameter
BTW.: "Learn local Midi message" would learn bus, channel, message type and (with CCs, Notes and Aftertouch the CC# / Note #).
