1 +24 db Gain
2 Trim Mixer
i realized i can remove that +24 db Gain and just gain up the track receive +24 db
but the problem plugin has parameters in the grid...
so i have to reattach (replace-overwrite in my case) that parameters from Trim Mixer's
exact same parameters (Status : Mute, On, Solo)
so i replaced them & removed +24 db Gain JS from project..
it worked! and all the old snapshots was recalling correctly...
till i save (save as) the project.. now Snapshots can't recall them anymore.

is this is expected some how, am i missing something ?
or pushing too much ?

anyway..
in my case : not so important..
just want to share

EDIT:
here is the video of exact process.. if make sense any
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9...2ZlNGJmalJveWM
At the moment - as reassigning a parameter creates a new control id - on saving/reloading it will delete these params from the snapshots.

Currently deliberate.

So to be on the safe side - it changes the control id of the control. I'll think about having an option - but this may create some confusion if it's a general setting (you might forget whether it's on or off). Other than having a pop-up when you reassign a parameter (which might become annoying) - I can't think of a better way of the top of my head.

as i tried to say.. to me its definitely not important!
and i agree adding an extra settings for this kind of very rare use/situation
also will cause unnecessary confusion.

ok - finally taken a look at this - it's currently because it uses the pickle function still to save the data. This works really nicely with small amounts of data - but is hideously slow with larger amounts.

I moved everything else away from using pickle and wrote my own save routines when it sometimes took large projects 10 minutes to save the data!!

I still need to do this with strip sets! will look into doing this sometime soon.

Been busy ... finally had some time to check out the issue that showed up on the latest LUA posted.

MOMENTary buttons. Functionally they are working. In my sceanario, they are Resetting the A/B plugin parameter.

The strange issue: The individual [R]eset buttons flash [and work] as they originally did.

I also have a GLOBAL [R]eset that is tied to all the [R]eset buttons as a master. Here is where it shows some issue.

Even though the Master [R]eset does force all to reset, the indicator lights are sometimes erratic.

If AUDIO is not playing, the Master button flashes, but the individual ones do not.

When AUDIO is playing, clicking the Master now lights all the others, but the lights don't flash. They stay ON for about 2-3 seconds, then turn OFF. They are working and Resetting.

Strange that since the update, they stay lite ONLY when activated from the Master. The individual buttons flash when they are clicked on, whether AUDIO is running or not.

Sorry for the long post trying to explain this. I've only tested this one GUI for these findings [I expect the others to do the same].

2nd new issue. The SETUP page. The size of the FONT has changed. They are very small and seem distorted a bit. Very difficult to even read.

Maybe when time allows this things can be looked at.

Thanks !

is this just recently (with recent version)?

I have been tweaking stuff that could cause this - but not noticed any errors here. will have a look.

is it simply loading your strip causes the error - or do you turn any knobs?

EDIT: Just uploaded an update which forces min and max values for a control to numbers... it's a long shot. if this doesn't work - i may need to take a look at your strip file.

The script does not know whether audio is playing or not - so it can not behave differently (deliberately) in the cases where audio is running.

I'm not saying there is no issue - just that that may be coincidence (or more likely to do with cpu or the plugin or something else).

I've not tested with audio running here - so will do when I have some time.

Yes - this has happened because the setup menu now needs to be drawn on its own backbuffer (rather than straight onto the main buffer). This is to enable the scrolling up and down when used in a small script window (vertically).

Although the font size has not changed - the anti-aliasing seems to get removed when drawn onto a backbuffer (hence why fonts on strips themselves are not as pretty as they could be).

I've not worked out if it's possible to draw text with anti-alias to a backbuffer - but without it - this causes it to look 'edgy'.

I will look to increase the fontsize when i get the chance.

Update:

I forgot to mention last nights bug fix update included new strip set save routines - to move away from using the pickle function which is veeery slow on large data tables.

Now it uses the same routines as standard save and load for projects and strips in stripper.

It should work much faster now.

the latest update (just now) - has some more speed improvements still to loading/merging strip sets. Now I would say it's perfectly acceptable (even when loading mammoth sets like Timbral's UGG).

Another thing. Strip Sets will now save the Master channel data - and when loading/merging - that master channel becomes a parent folder to all the other tracks in the set.

I guess I still need to think about providing a shared format for stripsets that also bring any graphics/control files with it.

Wow TZ, it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing. The FakeClock is a really nice touch

I've been working on something similar, but with a different approach to things. I'll try to figure out how to share it -- so many custom scripts!

Thank you TJA glad you liked!
maybe an update with beat (or 1/4) clock for more flashy GUI

btw.
if you own HY-MPS i also created separate versions for both that uses MPS full..
so i can upload them too.. just let me know.

EDIT:
also after reading your post again, "different approach"-ed strip made me start wonder... what you are cooking!

The page follow won't work yet in a strip file as strip files don't transfer FADER settings. I'll try to work out a way to fix this.

One last thing - PAN knobs - double-clicking doesn't reset many to centre. This is easily fixed though - in FX edit mode - select all the PAN knobs then hold SHIFT and drag the def value (in CTL OPTS 1) to centre.

All you should need to do is install the jsfx, load the track template, load the strip on to the 'TJA K5Drums' track and populate kontakt with samples. (and assign the page switcher to Fader1, Offset = C2)

There should be a kontakt script in each Kontakt instrument called Oneshot Tweaker (Thanks Evil Dragon). I'm hoping it got passed as part of the strip. Could someone please confirm that it's there.

EDIT: Also, it's best to assign your controller (keyboard/pads) input to both 'TJA K5Drums' and '__LBX_CTL' so that page switching with the controller will work regardless of the state of the 'page follow' button.

This is how to populate Kontakt with samples

Brilliant - thank you. I reckon it's been over 5 years since I've used Kontakt as anything more than a sound module :|

Will follow your instructions.

Volume and pan worked fine. a little confused by the sends and where they go. Didn't have time to investigate further.

i did it i did it!
only 3 pad filled kicks, snares, hihats..
knob placements made subset creation for randomize a little difficult
(needs click carefully & full focus)
sends are K5 internal aux sends.

anyway...

Wow you guys, haven't been following properly all week and then bang!

FR: If lua is able to detect audio:

Auto bypass function able to set per plugin bypass parameter. Set in milliseconds after no audio detected. This needs to auto un-bypass when audio plays again. This is a feature from mutools mux plugin.

It's been requested before - and is a good idea. But I'm not sure it's possible (within reason) to obtain lookahead values for audio in reascript.

I have the peak meter readings but they are as near to realtime as reascript allows. without lookahead it would be far too messy.

Also - with reascripts inherent polling latency - unless you had a lookahead of at least 20-40 ms - it would end up cutting audio. and most people don't want to add that much latency (if it were possible to get lookahead values).

Not knowing the ins/outs of JSFX fully - I would say that's possibly the best way to achieve this in any decent form.

Thx for the explanation

Thanks - trying both TJA and TZ's edit out.

All workign well - but any way to stop kontakt loading samples with loop set to repeat forever. It's hugely annoying - and although I've managed to change all samples in a zone to copy the selected zones loop settings - this takes a while and is a needless step.

So any ideas how to stop samples loading into Kontakt with loop on???

will look into. can you let me know what system you are running on? (not that it should matter - just good to know in case).

EDIT: Also could you post the few lines of code from the script - identifying line 16018.

It doesn't correspond to the version i have here. - have you tried the latest version?

Yeah - all you need to do is in STRIP edit mode - right-click in the strips list and choose bottom option - IMPORT SHARED STRIP FILE.

Then find the sharestrip file in browser - double click it to import it.

you will then have the strip file in your strips list.

EDIT: You should not put the sharestrip file in the strips folder. There is a folder called share in the resources folder - this is where i put them and where the default folder location is when importing shared strips - but they can be anywhere (downloads folder etc).

So if you've followed the above instructions ok - and still getting error - please can you email me the sharestrip file - or point me towards it. Let me know if you need my email.

PS - it is definitely a shared strip file? not just a strip file (prefix should be .sharestrip not .strip)

try the option in wave editor: ⚙ - 'to all selected zones'- 'copy current zone's loop settings'
