Default I got a question about my FX chain ....

At the moment my music is all recorded and I am ready to record my vocals. At the moment I have the following VSTs and they are currently in this order. I know that VST order has a direct effect on the output of the sound.

Here are mine and they are currently in this order. I would be grateful if anyone could suggest any changes to the order of these VSTs in order to achieve the best results:
  1. Gain
  2. ReaComp
  3. De-esser
  4. ReaFir
  5. Reverb Plugin

Is that your fx chain for your vocals, your instruments, or both?

What are you using ReaFIR for?

One suggestion might be to use a send for reverb, so that you can EQ the signal going into it separately, and easily automate the amount of reverb (maybe you want more reverb during the chorus, for example).

In that case, I would place ReaFIR first in the chain.

I am pretty sure you'll need an EQ after (or before*) your compressor, at least for a low cut.

* try in context what sounds "better"
