Now that this has been on my DAW I dig it.. Can't wait for the fixes..
Not sure I'm digging the font.. Find it harder to read.. At a little distance the font looks broken..
My eyes aren't the best anymore.. But it's not a deal breaker just would like a clearer font.

The other thing (unless I'm missing something) I'd like to see FX button on master fader again.
I couldn't figure out how to get to that FX window to save FX chain I was using on the master.. Until I switched theme to get a button to appear and save chain then revert back to Fusion.. Not sure why you'd take that button away.

I removed master TCP and MCP buttons because they are not completed yet.
Unfinished theme in attachments.

Can you take a screenshot and show me how the font looks? Opens sans is a very common font(for example, bitwig used this font).

@faderjockey -

The screenshot shows the pan knob is being squashed horizontally, which suggests that your display resolution is not set to properly work with this theme.

@arsen -

The fx inserts need the margins adjusted in WALTER...that way their text won't go outside the boundaries of the layout. Just a suggestion... (~:

Am I the only one bothered by item edges - they seem to overlap with item content?

Then what should my screen be set for?
It looks great with every other theme or picture I look at.

or try change font to another and then back to OpenSans

and check Appearance tab(in Prefs) Faster text rendering is off

couldn't find "Media item label font" for some reason.

It's weird I saw half your reply here..then when I quoted you..it then should the other half of msg about trying to change font back and forth.
I did set pref to what your pics should for theme.. but I'll check again.
I have no problem with text in other themes.. even the numbers on the time line when I switch to fusion they get very thin..

No I have Fusion installed in 2 places to try... my troubles are on my DAW.
But my studio office computer has Beta5 on it.. and I first tried Fusion there to play with first.. Looks fine. Not sure why and not on DAW.

also.. should ClearType text be off? I thought I read (way back) for DAW's it was good to leave off..True? Or Not?
But DAW is off.. but when I turned ClearText on didn't help..but I noticed my office PC has it on..

ClearType is windows rendering text technology. ClearType rendered text looks 'smoother'. Use or not ClearType = a matter of taste.

Steps to reproduce:

1.) FX parameters: Make sure to check "Show FX parameters when size permits in the context menu of MCP.

2.) Dock any toolbar anywhere on the screen and you get that purple line:

There are two issues regarding labels.

In TCP there's a small bright line drawn above the track name:

In MCP the labels somehow don't look centered but a bit more aligned to the left. Can't help why. I think it's only one pixel... Zoom in to see it better:

I don't know any WALTER, so unfortunately I can't help with that but trying to narrow down the issue... SO the line does only appear on colored tracks. The default color doesn't create it.

The best solution is - just turn off "Set track label background" in Prefs)

Will there be more layouts in future?

Because regarding TCP I'd really like to have one like that:

Only the first row of elements:

REC | Label | Volume (knob) | FX+Bypass | Pan (without width) | Mute | Solo

Would be cool if this fits at a TCP width of approx. 10 Main toolbar buttons.

See my mockup of the R5 theme here:

Breeder and arsen are uploading small changes as well on the Bitbucket page. If you want bleeding edge versions, go there and "watch repository". You can also report bugs or make further FRs.

Agreed. Went to the site and couldn't make sense of where and what to download. Some info for us non-coder types would be appreciated.

I found the first version to be simply perfect. I'm afraid of downloading the latest version. Maybe it changes something I liked.
