Reaper 6
Howdy all,
I've been wondering about the new Reaper version and my current license. Is there an option to prepurchase the new license for 6.x and onwards?
I have mailed the support mail with this question ages ago but never received a response (and I've checked my spam folder)

If you purchased Reaper during v5 times, your license is valid for v6. There are no pre-purchase options AFAIK.

Just so you know: Reaper 6 isnt even in pre-Alpha yet, let alone Beta & typically there is at least a few months (more like up to a year) from start to release date, so we are probably a very long way away from version 6.
There has been several similar threads & the best bet is not to even think about it until the very first Reaper 6 pre goes up on the pre-release forum.
Enjoy what we`ve already got!

I predict/guess that Reaper 6 will be out by March 2020.
Typically X.0 versions are released in August.
Even so my guess is that Reaper 6 will be released in May of this year.
Yea, the Reaper guru's say the X.0 versions are no different than the in-between updates. So why have special anticipation for the 6.0 update? For me I have a habit of wanting the newest and latest, bigger and better. And the complain why the newest and latest is not much bigger and better. Oh, well!

To my knowledge they keep a little something interesting for the new version number but nothing really worth waiting that is going to make Reaper suddenly a new thing.
I think VCA came out with Reaper 5.

In 6.0 i think will bee kool:
-Add fixed FX slots (so we can on\off\bypass) fx's by number with action or etc.
plus shift+mouse scroll (or alt, ctrl) for switching around fx insert position quick and easily.
-Add graphic UI for fx browser like S1 or FL style, so we can add thumbnails for plugins and work even faster.
-Add support of Adobe Premier and others video plugins (main reason i don do video edit in Reaper now)

well now that's all fine and dandy... but, but... what about my lic. for reaper 11?.... is there gonna be a long term user discount? How about a price for seniors? ...and when do you think reaper 9 will FINALLY show up???

Isn't asking people not to hijack the thread a form of hijacking the thread?
Either way, you're contributing to clutter on the thread. And before anyone points out that I'm doing the same thing, consider that I never said I had a problem with doing it. Especially since the guy being ripped into here had a completely harmless post. This guy's is the one intended to offend.

Sadly no. Sean`s phone number stopped working several months ago & I no longer have an email address for him. His dad used to be a member of the hong kong police force, so who knows? He may surprise me and turn up om my doorstep one of these days.
The other friend is now in Malaysia, much to my relief!
