Fairchild master buss BIG kick
https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/1158056...0kick.RfxChain
Dorkin around with the autorelease minimums in Reacomp. Try this out while keeping an eye on the threshold of reacomp. Expect to see 4db of gr normally with 6db in really loud spots.
Event horizon was set about 3dB under the peaks, just to keep reacomp from triggering on transient hash, but still keeping the rms window small
The kanaka plugs put reacomp under M/S control, with reacomp's detector only listening to the M material. You shouldnt have to mess with these, except perhaps to bypass them
Reacomp's HP was set to a VERY unfairchildlike 60hz, so I could let my kicks live a bit, if you want it more accurate, set it around 20hz

That can't be good.
Looks like a intermittent DC offset or something.
Bad math in some plugin?
Cheers,
Randy

Yes, it really seems like DC-offset. Try the DC-offset-removal plug-in (yet another great JS plug-in)

Many thanks, pipe. Hope you're planning to post some more fxchains.
The JS plugs, Scotts contributions, pipe's fxchains: we might need some sticky for if I'm not wrong we all discover (some already knew) that part of REAPER's great value is right in these native plugs' combos and possibilities
I for sure learn a lot by using & tweaking them and I'm SO glad they don't come with their own colourful guis, - just faders

Oh yes, we need a sticky for all this stuff.
In a week or two, I'll begin to mix my bands' first album, so I need all the help I can get. I'm still used to mix in Pro Tools, so let's see how it goes.
