Thanks! We had a lot of fun making the song and video. We wrote it thinking how it might sound through a big PA at a club so it can really pump.

[QUOTE=Coachz;2231923]We just released the first song on our soon to be released album "A New Reality". I hope you guys enjoy it. All done in Reaper for audio
Really sounds good Coachz, a little long and I didn't make it to the end. But the groove is there as well as the sound.

Yeah alright. Despite the fact that I really don't like any of the individual sounds, it comes out sounding pretty good altogether.

Thanks. So what individual sounds do you like? You dont like clavinet, oberheim, minimoog, tambourine? Thanks for listening!

Is it a real clav? Cause I can dig some clavinet, but this one to me just doesn’t sound great. It might be a little loud overall, but then it’s the main rhythmic element and kind of drives the whole thing, so you can’t really turn it down enough to hide its weirdness.
I mostly object to the drum sounds, especially the snare but also the cymbals and the rest of the kit. To me it sounds like Roland drums. Not the cool old school 707/808 type Roland drums but the SoundCanvas/EKit kind of Roland drums that just have that distinctive...something...that has always bothered me.
I thought the organ and some of the synth stuff was pretty tasty, but overall it reminds me of the sort of all MIDI productions that my dad was doing in the late 80s except that his mixes/masters were generally pretty bad. You made a really good strong mix out of some pretty cheesy fundamental sounds.

So where was he???
I didn't analyse it like ashcat did, I just let it play and listened. Of course with my bad ears I don't her the cymbals so well.
I noticed the groove right away, nothing sounded bad on my studio speakers which are pretty good. I like the performance of the organ.
I also noticed the dancers in the video were fairly well in sync.

The sync is entirely serendipity.

The drums are 808 and not crappy soundcanvas (how insulting :-) ).
This is the clav you don't like. Thanks for the feedback. Having fun !

What I'd like to know is what you did in all this, I assume you mixed it?
I think it sounds good and it would definitely get me out on the dance floor if I was about 40 years younger.

Thanks Tod. :-)
It's me, a keyboard player/singer and a female singer doing BVs. I helped with the songwriting, arranging, instrumentation, recording, mixing, mastering and programmed the drums. This is our first release of our new album that was created over the last year.
The new album....coming out soon.

Ha ha, well in that case really a great job Coachz. There's a lot of interesting titles there too.
