Notation issue - when not focused, still reading values

This is a non-critical thing but it exists still.

1 - open notation editor
2 - focus any other application window
3 - move mouse over overlayed notation

BUG - values are still being read

EXPECTED - notation is not active

the mouse pointer in pencil mode also appears on your gif when it shouldn't. I seem to have noticed that this problem also exists elsewhere than for the score editor.
