Preview Media Explorer - showing timeline selection

If I select a clip on the timeline and call "Media Explorer: Preview media item source media", it always starts at the head of the audio file. Doing sound design I'm usually somewhere else in the file.

I'd like the Media Explorer in that case to show the selection of the audio file that I had selected on the timeline.

Just hilited, as if I had dragged a selection over the media in order to spot it TO the timeline, like this.
