Default Touch Tracks

I think that is the correct name. I want to assign midi sequences so they can be triggered by midi notes. Is this possible in reaper?

I think you need to explain in way more detail exactly what you want to accomplish

Fair enough.
I envisage having a drum vst activated and being able to trigger a midi sequence with one key of an external midi keyboard which then plays the drums.
So, when I press C1 for example it will trigger a certain midi file eg a fill . I could have every key assigned to different midi sequences then just play a drum track by hitting different keys

I don't know of a way to do exactly that...

I do know of ways to get it done but they are more complex to build...

for example:

first create the various midi files for your given drum VSTi
then render each of those to a named wav file
oh, like: snare-kick beat 1A.wav

Ok put all those in a folder somewhere...

Then take a sampler, like Kontakt and create an instrument where
each of those wav's is on a single key and set to play loop one time through...

Not really too hard to do...

Yes looks like I can “import” a midi sequence into megababy by recording it.

I’ll try it. Also looks like playtime might work. Thanks for all the help
