Docking and Second Window Features
Hi,
Docking is already pretty powerful.
I'm using Screensets as much as I can but there is always some sort of draw back or impossible task I'd love to do.
I'm docking :
- Toolbars
- The Mixer
- The Master
- Reaticulate
- the Video Player
- the Midi Editor
- And last but not least the MPL Interactive Toolbar
- Region Manager
Etc...
I could go on and explain each Screenset but I'm not going to do that. Instead I'll jump right into what I know can't be done and would be great.
One thing I'm pretty sure everybody would love and enjoy, is the possibility to dock elements and scripts in the midi editor. Most of us would dock Reaticulate in there for sure.
But what would really be awesome and the real game changer, would be a "Secondary" project window sort of like in Ableton Live but with the ability to dock a bunch of stuff. And knowing how Reaper does things, that secondary window would most likely be dockable inside the primary one. Imagine the potential.
Examples of secondary window advantages :
- Midi editing with docked reaticulate.
- A dedicated management windows with region manager, media explorer, track manager render matrix etc...
- Or a dedicated mixing window with specific mixing tools docked.
It's great that we can dock so many thing in the project window already but docking everything in one window has it's limits.
So come on everybody! Add you +1 and let's make this secondary window thing happen!
Cheers!
