I'm loving the new MCP Tracking Meter layout. Especially how the Input is on the top. That's great. Just a couple of things:
Can you make the meter be automatically full height and remove the FX and Sends area? Maybe add a small FX button (with on and off) to the bottom instead of having that area?
Can you move the track name to the top right under the input name?
Can you move all buttons to the bottom of the meter to be in two rows of 4 so that the meter can be full width (keeping the same padding size that is on the left hand side of the meter for the right side also)?
A couple of other small requests:
Can you make the Record Monitoring button color in the TCP slightly more obvious when it's on?
Is there a way to make the time in the transport slightly larger?
Thank you!! This theme is awesome and I think it may be the one that I start using.

1.Can you make the meter be automatically full height and remove the FX and Sends area? Maybe add a small FX button (with on and off) to the bottom instead of having that area?
Pull the top of the mixer strip up to the top to resize it and the fx are will dissapear (use ctrl/cmd to resize all tracks at once)
2.Can you move the track name to the top right under the input name?
Not posible because the name area is embed in the background image and is used by all layouts
3.Can you move all buttons to the bottom of the meter to be in two rows of 4 so that the meter can be full width (keeping the same padding size that is on the left hand side of the meter for the right side also)?
Again it breaks all other layouts because I would have to resize the bg images.
4.A couple of other small requests:
Can you make the Record Monitoring button color in the TCP slightly more obvious when it's on?
I use consistent colors for buttons- this wuld break that logic.
Is there a way to make the time in the transport slightly larger?
The time text in transport is automatically resized by Reaper depending on the size if the bracket so I have no sirect control if I want to keep the current transport layout
Hope this answers your questions and somehow explains why I designed this layout as it is for the time being.I had to make compromises to keep resources at normal levels with so many layouts.
Regards J

Cool, thanks for the reply.
One other thing, I noticed that the top part of the media item for collapsed tracks is still showing in this theme but I've never seen that in other themes. Is that by design? Thanks!

Thank you Janne! Your 2014 theme is my go-to when working with REAPER. Looking forward to trying out the new pack. Cheers.

Yes it was meant by design just like in the default theme. Ill look into it if i can find a better minimized size for the nex update.
thanks J

Thanks Janne. I still use (my tweaked version of) one of the themes you did for R4. It works great also on R5, but maybe I'm missing out on something by not using a specific R5 theme. I'll try these

You mean color fader options. I had to reduce/ think over layouts a bit because Reaper has a max limit on how many layouts can be used in a theme.

Janne appreciate the response. I'll muck with the meter image files later.
Also... I see you allow complete colored panels now in v102. Thanks SO MUCH for the responsive development.

I've got a problem. When I touch the toolbar icons ( metronome, snap to grid etc ) there is no change views ( functions ok ). I can't see that on or off.

Hi Janne,
Do you think you could look at text centering logic pls for next update?
Atm in TCP text is not centred properly as per attached image.. Or maybe default to left align everything it would look neater imo
Doesnt seem to be something I can tweak myself in editor?
Also which setting is it to change the muted/non muted colour in the editor? like when you solo/unsolo I would prefer bit lighter
Thanks trying to make this default

It is centered- Just note that the io button on the left of the name field isnt part of the namebg. Ill look into it

Strange. Works here for me on my 2 machines. Try to reinstall the theme. Ill look into it, however Ive seen this problem in the past with other themes(not just mine) and I never managed to find the cause for this issue.

Very nice theme!
Two issues, though:
1) In the "Narrow" MCP layout, the peak level numbers are cut of on the right, and are hence not readable.
2) The Master track in MCP does not have a dB scale. I guess this is on purpose, I only wonder why. It seems to me that the master track is the most crucial one to have accurate meter readings. Could we have this as an option maybe? Would be great!
Thanks for the great work!

1. Its self generated so I have no control over it sorry- its becuse of the meter small width.
2. Its by design- I can add a layout that has a scale.

Are you using any custom toolbar buttons by any chance?
If thats the case I think i found the solution- its an error with the toolbar_blank image.
Ill fix it for the next update

Correct Colors
Looks very good indeed. I'm sure I'm being a complete idiot but how do you get the tracks and media items to be in that nice shade of blue? When I install the theme it comes out grey and reddish no matter what version of the theme I use.

You have to se track or item colors(its in the right click menu of each area- item or track or in the action list)
Also check your color settings in the preferences:
hope this helps

Cool Janne,
yeah I think actually would be better to left align as atm the text is dancing around a bit for me. Its less so with Narrow TCP but still there but when you extend I def think left align looks better than centered

You are a superman. God save the heroes. Thanks a lot. Toolbar is ok, no problem with new update. This theme is the best. Must be default theme, IMO.
I've got a general problem Reaper's gui. I need so much that selected highlighted fx slot like pro tools. When fx slot is floating, only the track number appears on it, not track name. This difficult thing for professional mixer. At least appearing the highlighted fx slot when I select I know the which track selected. You know ? Normally I use pro tools for commercial mix, but my all project is on the Reaper. I need that if it's possible.

I have a bit of a problem with left align because the io button overlays the name field and I had to use a margin alignment to fit the text properly.

Wow Janne,
I like the coloured mixer tracks in this theme so much that I think I will change my automatic colour settings to fit better.
Thanks again!

Unfortunatelly there is no control regarding that can be done via theming
