When using "envelope point selection follows time selection" AND with "Clear time selection when edit cursor moves on click in arrange view" ticked in preferences, it would make more sense for:

A click clearing a time selection in arrange view to ALSO clear envelope point selection but it does not

Instead you have to strangely use the time selection to actively unhighlight the envelope points to unselect them. This is a little bit specific but I think the behavior I'm suggesting makes more sense than this default one.
