Default VCA volume control has kind of latency

Hey guys,
I recognized that using VCAs, moving the master need a fraction of a second until I can hear the result in the VCA slave.

Check out that project. I've got a master and a slave (with noise generator insert). Move the slave and the volume will follow instantly. Move the master fast to -infinite and the noise will stay a while where it is until it disappears.

No big deal, but instant reaction would be much nicer especially when the master is automated and it comes from a quite part to a big boom with a quick volume raise. In this situation I fear that the audio will not be in time.

Confirmed (5.18 x64)

It's related to the render ahead size for anticpiative processing (200ms by default - Preferences/Audio/Buffering).

It does seem to be on live move only -with automation, there's no lag.

Alright, I'll check that. I wonder which (negative) consequences a change of this value will have?

If you lower it you'll get less tracks/FX handled by your processor.
