Error importing from ReaPack
Hi Archie, I've tried installing it from ReaPack (v1.21) but it gave me this error:
"Error - Archie_Info; Counter time project(AutoRun).lua
Missing file/ Отсутствует файл!
C:\Users\[MyUser]\AppData\Roaming\REAPER/Scripts/Archie-ReaScripts/Functions/Arc_Function_lua.lua
I've checked the folder and indeed is empty. Thanks in advance!

Hi Esteban_M.
You need to upload a file from ReaPack from my repository 'Arc_Function_lua.lua'

Thanks Archie, it works beautifully! I've added the dock to my project template that Reaper loads for every new project and the time tracking works perfectly, huge thank you!
There's this minor thing where after every Reaper restar the dock position changes slightly, do you know what could be causing this?
I docked your timer like this (upper right corner, on top of the master track):
I restart Reaper and this is how it looks on a new project (docked to the right but taking the entire space):

How did you get it to Dock in the upper right corner ?
My spreads across the entire top, or the entire left ... unreadable.
thanks for any detail

Here's the fix for everyone that might have a similar problem: Once you have the timer in your prefered docked position, save/update your current window screen set (Ctrl+E to see your screen sets).
Again, thanks for the amazing timer Archie!

I may have misunderstood something, because when creating a new project, the time is reset.
You can also reset the time forcibly by right-clicking.

At the first start, the script will ask you to restart the reaper and after rebooting the reaper, the script will start its work, even if you did not run it.
|
How do you get the script to auto run without adding it as a start up item? Curious to know. Thanks so much!

Doesn't he work for you, or do you mean at all?
If at all, the launch is written to the file "_startup.lua"

I just meant in general... I have a bunch of scripts I run at startup and was trying to find a more elegant solution... Currently I have a startup script that calls all those other scripts and I set that as my global startup script... but it seems that might be rundandant! I will investigate this "_startup.lua" more... thank you for your response!

Thanks a lot, Archie! I had a version that ended at 1.16. (Archie_Info; Counter time project) I didn't notice that I have to install a new script (Archie_Info; Counter time project (AutoRun)

Bug report and feature request.
Hello Archie! I really like this script and think it's a really solid piece of software. Two things I think would make it even better.
First I would like to suggest adding resizing of text to theme 1.
Secondly I think I found a bug, whenever I dock the counter then hide the docker the tool tips still pop up where the counter was located before hiding the docker.
This slightly blocks the edit window while I'm trying to edit and hinders edit window tool tips from showing.
Thanks again!

How to install
Hi archie!
Tried to install your "Counter time..."
When i´m trying to open it, it says:
Error - Archie_Info; Counter time project(AutoRun).lua
MISSING FILE / ОТСУТСТВУЕТ ФАЙЛ!
C:/Users/Studio/Desktop/Reaper 3/Scripts/Archie-ReaScripts/Functions/Arc_Function_lua.lua
Did i missed something?
I got it! Arc_Function_lua.lua was missing --- now it works!

Seems like something is resetting the menu, however I found a workaround..
(works on windows but should be same on OSX I guess)
Right Click in the window so the options menu appears
Go to '???' and click on/choose "???" Then a new window appears called 'HELP'
..ignore that window but leave it open.
Now Right Click on the Titlebar of the 'Counter time project' window
(the bar where the name is displayed)
Now there should show a pop up menu with 2 options, one is the Dock option.
...now when docked, close the HELP window.

hey there here'a suggestion for the script.
it would be great to have a log that keeps track of all session afk times spent on each day projects were worked on.
By session afk time i mean the one that shows the time spent working on a project (label is kinda misleading)

AFK time is the opposite of that. It stands for "away from keyboard". In other words it's the time you're not working on the project (you went for a cup of tea or checked your email etc)

Yes, but in the script it's indeed labeled kinda misleadingly , I noticed that too (edit: I'd rather say it's wrong, unless I'm mistaken of course.).
'AFK' shows the time actually working on a project (stopping the timer after doing nothing for a minute).

This script is great though once you know that AFK means OTJ (on the job).
I've got a request for Archie: To be able to set how many hours constitute a day in the counter and have the number of hours and days recalculated according to that. So to be able to set a preference to eight hours or ten hours. Then when the script says 3 days and four hours you know what to invoice the client for without further calculation.
The length of the day could be displayed as part of the project details
Thanks for considering

Hi folks,
I've been using the Archie timer script for a while. It seems that the numbers it's reporting get completely scrambled after I've been on a project for a while. For example, sometimes the total play time is way longer than the total project open time.
I've been sharing project files with my writing partner. We both run the script. Could this be the reason for these glitches? Is the script doubling some counters and not others perhaps?
We were hoping we could reliably see how much time has been spent in different project files, but it's been totally messy.
Has anyone come up against this issue?
Cheers!
EDIT [potentially solved]:
This might be down to the fact I had it in a project template. When it was saved as multiple different projects, I think there was a ghost in the machine somewhere. Setting the option to "Reset time when renamed project" might be the solution. Working with that option now.

Update - NOT solved. When a rpp-bak is saved, that setting resets the timer in both the bak and the main project file.
Still looking for a solution to this - if anyone can chime in?

- Extensions -> Reapack -> Import repositories
- Copy/Paste the following link
Code:
https://github.com/ArchieScript/Archie_ReaScripts/raw/master/index.xml
- OK
- Now it shows up when you search in "Browse repositories"
- Right click, press install
