Default Annoying reaper_host_x86_64 pop-ups in the dock

Hi there,

Sorry about the repost. I already posted this in the Q&A section of the forum, but didn't notice that there was a dedicated OSX section. I will gladly delete the former post, if there is a particular way to do so.

Whenever I load a VST in the FX section of a track, I get a corresponding pop-up in the dock that's labeled reaper_host_x86_64. I would like to know if there is any way of getting rid of these, at least from the dock. I have attached an image as well.

I have tried googling and searching the forum for this, and the most that I have understood is that this is the bridging software used for getting 32-bit VSTs to work on my 64-bit OS. I have also updated Reaper several times, with this issue remaining. Is there a way to get rid of these? Or am I basically forced to deal with numerous pop-ups in the dock?

Here is the image (I didn't know how to remove it from the former thread): https://forum.cockos.com/attachment....5&d=1519473980

you only get this when using 32-bit VSTs in reaper 64-bit and vice versa.

Update your plugins or switch to 32-bit reaper

Thanks for your response. I checked, and I am running both Reaper64, and 64-bit VSTs. If I run 32-bit VSTs, I normally get the green version of the pop-up icon in the dock, as well as the number 32 on them. For example, I am running Maschine 64-bit and I still get the pop-up.

I have attached some more images.

ok so reaper must be bridging all plugins then.

Check Preferences>Plug-ins>Compatibility

VST/AU Bridging/Firewalling

Is this on automatic or something else?

It is set to 'in dedicated process per-plugin'.

Edit: I changed it to 'automatic' and it seems to have fixed my issue. This is exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you!!
