Need help :)
Hi guys,
I need someone to help me in Reaper,
sometimes.. I reduce the track channel's height (in sequencer)
and each new track I insert stays in that small size (hiding the controls etc)
if I hold "ctrl" while doing a resize, all tracks are getting bigger, but each NEW track stays small... Maybe there is a way to correct this? Its taking up a lot of my precious time for creativity.
Thanks a lot guys!

Just to clarify:
- How are you inserting a new Track, exactly? Via a menu, a Shortcut, a Custom Action, etc ...
- And how are you reducing the track height: by dragging the Track Panel smaller or otherwise?
And what's your current setup:
- Operating system
- Reaper version
- And which Reaper Theme

Hey thank you. I didn't know this would be so scientific
I am inserting a track either with "Ctrl+T" either right click on a track and insert
I am reducing sometimes holding "Ctrl" the track from the bottom part so all others become small. And sometimes this happens
I am using win7 64 bit
latest Reaper
with Ilogic Next theme
Thanks

In preferences you can set the default height for new tracks.

Is the Behavior the same when using the Default Theme? Just to rule out that this might be something specific to the ILogic Theme.
The default Track height setting EpicSounds mentioned above is under Preferences > Project > Track/Send Defaults.
EDIT:
In addition you might also have a look at some ' track height' related (SWS) Actions in the Action List (which you can use for making a custom Insert Track Action)
Or maybe check out something like Script: me2beats_Smart insert track (keep track height).lua (search for 'Smart insert' in ReaPack).

Hey guys, I got that preference set. I am not talking about all projects.
A new project is fine, until something happens and the new tracks are very short height wise
Anyway, I guess I can live with this.
Thanks a lot!

Thank you, it seems that I have to manually do the resizing by holding "ctrl"
a few times and it fixes, weird though, very unpredictable...
even if I post this you might not understand
thanks guys

page up and page down can alter the size of your track.

Solution not really, I try to make it a habbit resizing tracks with the vertical +/- signs at bottom right corner before inserting new ones, because this sets the height for newly inserted tracks (unlike resizing with Ctrl + drag divider).
edit:
Ctrl + mousewheel over track control panel for resizing also works here.
