Seems like nobody made a VSTi named DOL DRUMS yet which is a huge oversight.

You have seriously wide range of styles in your arsenal. Normally you can pinpoint people stylistically, not so much here, maybe it's just wyyyrd. No complaints about the quality.

Well, that did it for me. I really enjoyed it. Nice use of drum samples in particular.

It's hard to critique stuff that isn't trying to sound like anything else.

I wanted the first lot of drums to be louder.

I kinda felt that the main synth sound wasn't as unique as the piece deserved.

But my feelings don't matter if you have made the music you wanted to get out, and I enjoyed it a lot anyway.

Thanks dude! Yea I like a lot of different music...pretty much all wyyyrd so I lean into it.

I had my doubts about using TRacks One on the master buss, as it seems like a mastering plugin for noobs...and yea maybe it is, but it added just the right amount of sparkle imo. Of course I had a few other of my usual mojo-adders on there too...

Thanks for the feedback! It's always good to get some objectivity and if/when I return to it, I'll defo listen for ways to improve those aspects.

I actually mixed electronic and live drums. That's become a staple for me. I get quantized beats holding down the tempo and my loose, sloppy drums on top for a more groovy feel. Cymbal samples usually suck anyway.

What I liked about the drums was that all the backwards and glitchy stuff actually served the rhythm, when often people just stick that in there as a gimmick without really thinking about how it affects the groove.

Good job.

Really love the uber lo-fi melancholy sound of this! The only thing I didn't care for was the chain sound or tambourine thingy.

Thanks, y'alls! I could probably dial back that chain a bit. Overall there's some harshness to the mix too that I need to look at.
